To think mn is fab and all the moaning "cliquey" threads are oversensitive ??

I found mn a few years ago and think it's blardy fantastic. Mners have given me advice, reassured me, made me (and DH) cry laughing (and even wee a bit!)
I don't post often but do lurk quite a bit, but all these "mn is really cliquey" threads are pissing me off. How can the internet be cliquey ffs?!
I love Mn for it's different views, sometimes I agree sometimes I don't but hey that's ok
Anyway that's all I wanted to say, just needed to rant!
And note to newbies we all get ignored, this post will probably be ignored but I won't cry I'll just think you all hate me are busy

I agree. I lurk, post, lurk, post. Have namechanged several times so no-one recognises me and I know who all of the regulars are. I have no wish to be that well known on the net tbh.

I dip in and out of things. Some people "know" me more than others. Some ignore me - and I ignore others. Bit like real life really!

I love MN. But sometimes I love it LOADS, then I go off it a bit.

I don't piss and moan about it though. The moaners just need to man up and be strong!

don't see the point in people moaning about cliquey threads, just don't read or post on those ones.

I think mn is great too, generally there's a good balance of silly threads and serious, helpful ones. There are people who can be quite nasty but I find it easy to ignore them.

MN is a lovely silly agonising angry insulting sometimes-cliquey Pandora's box.
Whingeing a right turn-off. Arguments make me laugh sometimes. I can understand having a row when you're in close proximity and tempers fray....but on the internet??
Some very lovely people on here though and some great advice/sharing, which is what it's all about.

TBH, I have gotten so much from MN, that I am willing to have the odd post or thread ignored. You don't really have to listen to everyone!!

it IS cliquey, but does it really matter? My chatty, unimportant threads don't always get replies, but if I have something really bothering me or need advice there is always someone who can help.
