ladystardust · 26/08/2008 19:44

Unreasonable not right word - misguided perhaps?
Also - must be v expensive buggy!!

lulumama · 26/08/2008 19:45

that must be some pricey pushchair! buy the bag and your little one can go in a £20 stroller

AbbaFan · 26/08/2008 19:49

I need to see a picture of the bag, so I can decide

narkymum · 26/08/2008 19:51

No pic but is called "the paddington"

PookiePodgeandTubs · 26/08/2008 19:52

You don't need an expensive buggy. Get one from woolworths.

Post a link to the bag.

AbbaFan · 26/08/2008 19:54

[[http://www.asos.com/Victoria-Beckham/Chloe/Chloe-Paddington-Bag/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=129620 is it this one]

Based on your last post, I say go for it On a different scale I bought a Mulberry purse that I thought was eye-wateringly expensive for what it was, but it gives me pleasure everytime I use it, ie several times a day

eekamoose · 26/08/2008 19:56

Will it make you happy? Honestly?

I am 45 and have never had a bag worth more than £50 and that was a Christmas present from DH.

How will it improve your life?

What is the meaning of a Chloe bag? You do realise, don't you, that there are millions of us who wouldn't know a Chloe bag if it hit us in the face? So while you are strutting around with it on your arm thinking "Oh I'm so great I have a Chloe bag, everyone must realise" the vast majority of people will be oblivious?

Pah at modern ridiculous shallow consumerism.

TheCrackFox · 26/08/2008 19:56

Get the bag - the buggy will only be barfed al over. By the way I am very .

narkymum · 26/08/2008 19:56

Yes thats it !

OP posts:
PookiePodgeandTubs · 26/08/2008 19:59

Get both. I sold my P&T for 3/4s what I paid for it!

AbbaFan · 26/08/2008 19:59

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE the bag, but could never spend that much money on it.

I would only buy it, is I were as rich as Mrs Beckham

narkymum · 26/08/2008 19:59

Yes I am shallow and smug hahaha

OP posts:
narkymum · 26/08/2008 20:01

Its not something I would do on a regular basis. Actually ever before. Was possessed I tell thee.

OP posts:
lulumama · 26/08/2008 20:03

i have that bag

MuthaHubbard · 26/08/2008 20:03

can you not track down a cheaper 'look-a-like'?

tbh, am a bit like eek, i wouldn't know a chloe bag if i fell over it (which i probably would). plus if i spent that much on a bag, i would feel as though i would have to use it everyday for the rest of my life!

sandy4 · 26/08/2008 20:05

got a paddington off ebay (no, it's not a fake) for £150. bargain

sandy4 · 26/08/2008 20:09

but that was ages ago, it's a bit waggish so don't use it anymore ...

narkymum · 26/08/2008 20:10

Mutha you should treat yourself, or is your cupboard bare? (sorry couldn`t resist)

I think it depends if you will really really love it and use it for years. I have never bought a designer handbag because I am too flibbertigibbetlike for quality and always want a change after 6 months or so. But one of my loveliest friends has a mulberry bag that she loves and has used every single day for years and years since she bought it at some horrendous price. It really has been worth it for her.

kitsmummy · 26/08/2008 20:12

Get it. I have a Mulberry Elgin and have lost count of the number of compliments I've had on it, all from women, and even women who haven't got a clue that it's Mulberry. It always amazes DH who just doesn't get it, he think it looks like something from a greek leather market! A bag like that will last a lot longer than a Phil and Teds
