In thinking that our Trolls simply aren't trying hard enough these days?

I mean, come on, they used to put some effort into the scenarios.
Now they're just a bit......Meh.

What do they teach these days?!

I mean to say, weird stalker people and blokes who think their wives may be unfaithful as their younger friend has an inhumanly sized wang?
[tutting old fogey emoticon]

The subtlety is all gone.

There's a bloody lot of them around at the mo though.

claricebeansmum · 01/08/2008 17:26

I think there is one lurking - wanting her 5yo not to accept presents but donations to charity instead

DorrisMcWhirter · 01/08/2008 17:26

Perhaps we could extend them the courtesy of giving them their own section in the summer holidays - trollsnet?

Rhubarbstalkingarsehole · 01/08/2008 17:29

Trolls are just soooooo yesterday.

motherinferior · 01/08/2008 17:29

Ah but credit where it's due - perfectinpink was utterly superb.

DorrisMcWhirter · 01/08/2008 17:30

Ah yes, the pink wedding one - I did enjoy that!

OP posts:
claricebeansmum · 01/08/2008 17:31

I missed the pink wedding one

QuintessentialShadows · 01/08/2008 17:31

This is just annoying.

All these new names cropping up with crappy first time OPs.

Think I will call it a day om mumsnet for some time.

Rhubarbstalkingarsehole · 01/08/2008 17:31

Hey! How about DanielJohnston last Christmas huh?

DorrisMcWhirter · 01/08/2008 17:32

Missed that one Rhubarb - will ahve to search now as I'm daftly nosey!
Oh don't go QS - just pick through the troll dung - there's still old mnet in there somewhere!

Shineyhappypeople was good at doing troll threads.

The pinkweddingone was good because it wasn't nasty any way.

claricebeansmum · 01/08/2008 17:34

Yes - the trolls have lost their subtley.

It is best when they don't reveal themselves totally in the OP - it only happens gradually as the discussion wears on by which time some other posters are too engrossed to step back...

expatinscotland · 01/08/2008 17:34

i miss the trolls of old . . .

wheresthehamster · 01/08/2008 17:35

That's why I enjoyed the shuffling mags in the loo one.

wheresthehamster · 01/08/2008 17:36

I replied sensibly to the charity present one then noticed '50 friends'...

Rhubarbstalkingarsehole · 01/08/2008 17:37

Ah then there was the classic one of the Mumsnetter who put blue cheese up her fanny because she'd run out of natural yoghurt

Yes, the harmless ones where people are incredulous, suspicious, yet can't quite hold back from posting! They are the best. These nasty trolls are just talentless.

Nagapie · 01/08/2008 17:37

There was a bit of a funny cross post in the 5uo posting - x-posted with : Serves you right for spoiling her !!

DorrisMcWhirter · 01/08/2008 17:38

Perhaps I could offer 'TrollSchool' where they could learn to create interesting and amusing posts?

OP posts:
hughjarssss · 01/08/2008 17:38

Link doesn't work Nagapie

UnquietDad · 01/08/2008 17:39

Love the idea of "troll school"...

Is this their song?
