dd1 and dd2 found big muddy puddle and attacked it. Both drenched, dd2 wet up to her arse, wellies had to be removed and water poured out

so AIBU for letting them jump in a puddle or is this now frowned on as well?

YANBU! my dd loves puddles, she's always dismayed when it's sunny and asks to wear her wellies whenever we leave the house. (she's 25 months)

Saw an advert about this very thing - persil I think. Shows a robot looking all sad and he slowly turns into a real boy as he gets dirtier and dirtier playing and jumping in puddles. Kids deserve to get mucky or something.

I was taking DS to nursery the other day and was walking through the park when he found a huge puddle and sprung rigfht into the middle of it. I found it funny but an old woman didn't she drew me a dirty look and frowned at us.

I just laughed and so did DS.

Kids are supposed to be kids as far as I remember I jumped in puddles and I haven't died of pnuemonia.

I let mine out in the rain yesterday, unfortunately they paddled in cat faeces and had to be scrubbed.

yes, that advert is good but it is the message that it is ok to get wet/muddy
