Oh dear. My rescue cat is called Totty! So named, by rescue people, she was found in Tottenham. There was another called Finsbury. She’s a black cat and they are already hard to home apparently. I thought of changing it but she’s been through so much already in her little life I didn’t want her to lose her name too. I have warned my husband not to stand at back door calling her name. 🙈🙈🙈

Totty can be forgiven for the name of a cat 😻

I’d forgive her anything she’s such a sweet but resilient girl!

It’s fine as a cat name! Just not as a term for women, makes my vagina slam shut.

Men walking about with their hand or hands down their trousers

Notonmyland · Today 11:18

Dyed beards that look like they've been done with a stencil.

Investing in too - expensive for your budget things: buying an aga, then moaning about money. Buying a designer coat, then moaning about money. Having Jo Malone products.. and moaning about money.

Why is everyone saying leggins? It's legginGs.

Its not that deep 😆 I can see you are a leggins lover so taking offense to the spelling.

TheJoySpreader · Today 12:12

Shorts that are too high showing ALL their leg 🦵

Mondaytuesdayhappydays · Today 12:20

Hugely obese or fat women on dating sites who describe themselves as ‘a real
woman because men want meat not bones’ ewwww

It’s really grim. I saw a pair of girls’ leggings once (for about a six year old) with “Tottie” in big sequins writing on bum. I mean…?!

FeralFucker · Today 12:53

Men's trousers/jeans/joggers, all of them. When men use a urinal a fine spray splashes back on to their leg wear, thus they are always, but always, covered in wee.

Nobody is perfect but it's good to have a sense of humour in this miserable world. Men judge women's physical appearance on a score out of 10, so...

Yes if men are big enough to give it they’re big enough to be able to take it. Judgements is a two way street

DustyMaiden · Today 13:27

@HingesHingesHinges It’s your house that ok just not in mine.GrinI don’t know why. Just doesn’t look good.

SparklyPinkHandbag · Today 13:36

I literally can’t look at people when they start pulling on their eyebrows. I have to avert my eyes if we’re in public 😂 DH and our kids know better than to do it in front of me…although they all think I’m weird 😝

Why not have a walk around the East end of London and educate them how to "speak propa"

I know it's part of the London dialect. It would be fine if it was just there, but it's heard absolutely everywhere. Mostly because people are very lazy about forming words and don't give a shit. Or they think it makes them sound cool.

Inspired by another thread…

people touching me underwater in the swimming pool.

i know you’re there, i will move over as soon as i get chance, and i know you think it makes you a “serious” swimmer, but LEAVE MY FEET ALONE.

always a man as well. Never known a woman do it.

Nauseating corporate speak.
"Reach out" instead of contact/phone/e-mail etc.
"Going forward" instead of "from now on".
"Speaks to" instead of "attests to".
"Touch base" used under any circumstances.

Oh no. That’s me. Why? I have 30 years of that to atone for.

So have I! Where else are you supposed to hang it? 😂

PantaloonMad · Today 15:18

Cyclamen plants, the flowers are pretty but the way the stems/tendrils are all curly and wormy make me feel sick

Shall we report ourselves to somewhere? DustyMaiden says it’s fine if it’s in our own home though! Phew.

But yes - where else? Im
curious. Surely not one of those white pull out plastic tubes like my gran had? Surely not!!

DustyMaiden where should the tea towels live?

HisStericalTestes · Today 15:52

Cocky men who chew on toothpicks or random things at the side of their mouths as if they are in a 1950s gangster movie (Brand for e.g)

Starting every sentence with "what it is, right..." the next sentence is going to be a ream of bullshit excuses.

quiteworriedaboutquitealot · Today 16:07

Men - usually who parade around with a big dog, - who wear their keys in a belt loop of the ‘jeans’ they really don’t look very good in… a long held ‘ick’

The new one is “lean into”

6 months ago I’d never heard the phrase. Now everyone is suddenly unstable and having to lean everywhere.

popping up on here a lot as well. The mental image of Pisa towers in human form does my head in…
