I've seen four trends in the last month so far. At least the Asda reindeer bunny trend is making people forget about the Home Alone house 🤣 Before that it was the pepsi max tumbler. Now I see an Asda bourbon biscuit cushion trend is starting! It is getting more & more crazy with reselling on Vinted up to 20 times the price! Have people gone mad?

These have all passed me by. The joys of not spending hours on Tiktok.

You must engage with it then, or it knows you have an interest; your algorithmn keeps showing it you. Never heard of any of the things you're talking about.

I have TikTok and Facebook and haven't seen any of this stuff.
If the algorithm showed me it, it's the type of thing I'd scroll past without noticing.

I don't engage with it but do follow the Home bargains/b&m deals pages which seem to show up.

It's passed me by too, I have all the apps but haven't seen any of this.

Please don't take it personally OP but algorithms are so specific and we sometimes forget that there are 8 billion of us on this planet and some of them have never heard a Taylor Swift song or watch a James bond film 🤭.

My Instagram/facebook reels algorithm shows me upcycling ideas, knitting, history, scottish tourism stuff, cooking, knitting, sewing, that Ozzy man who does the funny voiceovers, menopause / women's health stuff, charity shop hauls.... You're probnably not seeing any of what I'm seeing.

This 👆 mine features a french man who sings and plays acoustic music to wild animals, lefty American politics, lefty comedians, lots and lots of skits ,feminist shit - loads of random stuff - the world is massive.

Its starting, in B&M today and all the Christmas stock is out already... I said to DH get the Halloween stuff out the way before we start buying Christmas decorations! 🎄

I think the type of person who follows B&M deals pages are the sort of people who are into these things - so as you’re the anomaly, I’d unfollow that ASAP!

Trends have always existed. They’re no more mad now than they’ve always been, I remember making about £150 on some cot bedding i bought but never used. I paid £25 for it, I put it on ebay as everyone did with stuff they had to sell and unbeknownst to me, it had been discontinued in mothercare, and people were going mental for it. insane but there we go, not a new thing.

I know about the Asda bunny. Haven’t heard of the rest. It’s always been like this though. There’s always been a must have toy running up to Christmas.

I have not seen any of these - and I'm surprised that the biscuit/cushion one has passed me by as I am a sucker for both of these things.
