I've seen four trends in the last month so far. At least the Asda reindeer bunny trend is making people forget about the Home Alone house 🤣 Before that it was the pepsi max tumbler. Now I see an Asda bourbon biscuit cushion trend is starting! It is getting more & more crazy with reselling on Vinted up to 20 times the price! Have people gone mad?

I think the type of person who follows B&M deals pages are the sort of people who are into these things - so as you’re the anomaly, I’d unfollow that ASAP!

(my algorithm is menopause, strength training for women over 40, cooking for high protein, Sezane clothing that only looks good on tiny waif french ladies. Tragic!)

Amazing you can see your algorithm at all atop that very high horse

What is the Home Alone house?
These things baffle me when they’re sold for inflated prices on Vinted etc. Does anyone actually buy them?

The bunny is everywhere on vinted. Somone is selling a picture of one

It's a Christmas dec, a light-up house from Home bargains for £15 that people have gone crazy over. It doesn't really look like the home alone house , maybe a more compact version. I have started liking things to see if they sell and surprisingly they come up as 'sold' pretty quickly. I think the shipping of those would be a nightmare. I don't think they even come in a box.

Ive started liking so many of them on vinted to see if they sell and every one has gone! The pictures are a joke. Do those sellers really think they'll get away with that?

I haven't seen or heard of any of them

Oh OP youve brought out the true mumsnetters with this post 😂.

I've definitely read about the bunny, vaguely recall the Home Alone thing but its the Home Bargains sleigh basket I'm after. I generally get put off by these viral things but some I definitely get ducked in by.

PollyBell · Today 05:09

Haven't seen these at all? Maybe i just don't notice trends that go viral

Why is it typical Mumsnet?!

My feed doesn’t show me any of that stuff.

I hadn't seen these before so just looked on vinted. I guess it's like the Aldi carrot soft toy. It's just a shame when people buy them up in the supermarket and then sell for inflated prices online.

Well...there you go then. Apologies for being a 'typical mumsnetter', but you don't need to be Mark Zuckerberg to understand that if you actively engage with this sort of drivel then you will be served up more of the same.

Typical types who have barely heard of the Internet and would never sully themselves with popular social media (mn not being SM)

They are so much better than the rest of us who have had the asda bunny pop on their timelines 😁

topcat2014 · Today 08:26

My tik tok gives me cows hooves and chickens laying eggs. I'm obviously doing it wrong

IdleGossip · Today 08:36

This whole "must have" thing is just so unsustainable. Everyone going daft for bunnies which look like reindeer or cushions shaped like biscuits because someone has decided to put them all over social media and cause a craze. And give it a couple of months and they will all be discarded like the previous must-haves which everyone bought into.

Loom bands, llama bedding, stuff with cacti on them, those squishy dumpling things, all the rest of it. Just landfill.

I've only just started liking them on vinted as research to see if they sell..and they do.
