Amazon order not delivered

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:09

I have placed a pretty hefty Amazon order. Christmas gifts and some stock up bits as I bulk buy all household essentials on there (it’s cheaper!)

The order was meant to be delivered between 11&2. Then it was pushed back, and now it’s just marked as “still arriving today”.

i suspect it’s not coming because it’s such a large delivery but AIBU to complain?!

I’m concerned for your blood pressure OP

It’s been scanned back into the depot, at 6:20 tonight. So they’ve not even bothered to tell me it’s not coming today. I’m furious.

I genuinely cannot imagine how hard a person's life must be if something this minor caused them to be furious.

It will be delivered tomorrow. It's not the end of the world.

TheFishFish · Yesterday 19:07

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:56

At the very least an email with an explanation.

You can check on the website and track, which you obviously have done.

Prime isn't even a guaranteed 24 hour service anymore. You are being ridiculous.

Mumtobabyhavoc · Yesterday 19:12

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:37

Not here. The UK is a big country!

That doesn't mean the supply chain hasn't been disrupted.
Your post reminds me of one similar where the person was following the tracking of the delivery and incensed they had stopped near a pub and convinced they were taking a pub break. The poster's AIBU was whether, or not, to go to the pub to get their parcel. 😂

I mean, I pay enough for a prime membership for it to come on time!

No you don’t. You pay Prime
membership for it to come the next day if at all possible and as soon as possible thereafter if not. The time slot is a guide not a guarantee, as is the day. Read the T&Cs, day and time are not guaranteed. If you don’t like it, cancel your membership. I suspect Amazon will be able to handle the loss of your custom.

Royaly82 · Yesterday 19:16

Is this a real post? I genuinely cant work out if its a wind up especially after seeing the updates...
If it does happen to be real, i wouldn't be furious or asking for emails with explanations or wanting refunds on things I dont need for two months or refill deodorants. It really wouldn't bother me in the slightest. If it didnt show up tmrw THEN I would ask for a refund and spend under 5 mins re ordering.

Sherararara · Yesterday 19:19

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:37

I’m pretty pissed off. It includes things I did need for tomorrow (a towel for the gym, deodorant refills). You pay through the nose for next day delivery for it to just not turn up. I don’t think the weather is an excuse when we have escaped pretty much all of it!

Are you always so insular? Your good will likely have come from Amazon distribution centres half way across the country. Just because the weather is ok near you doesn’t mean it is the same everywhere.

NimbleTaupeTiger · Yesterday 19:20

I'm right there with you. I too placed an order which didn't arrive on time and then didn't arrive late either. I got a full refund once the delivery window had passed and the £1.99 is now heading back to my account .

A difference of scale perhaps but nonetheless, it will all be refunded if it doesn't arrive

I assume it’s a wind up. No one can be so entitled and dim can they?

You've clearly never worked in a customer facing role, especially in a service role. They can and frequently are this entitled and dim

LiquoriceAllsorts2 · Yesterday 19:22

Your delivery is a few hours late and the app has updated and you don’t think it’s going to arrive and already want a refund. Wow, just relax and wait. There’s probably a 95% chance it will still arrive either today or in the next couple of days

LaurieFairyCake · Yesterday 19:24

It will come tomorrow. All my latest deliveries haven’t come over the last few months if they’ve been at weekends (I’m in London) so now I get them delivered to an Amazon locker.

Prime no longer guarantees delivery in my area for that day, well at least that’s what the AI chat bot said.

In all honesty this is what life used to be like, I’m fine going back to waiting a couple of days. My prime pays for the tv, deliveries are incidental to me. T

To be honest I don’t care. It’s a bit of wind and rain. We can’t grind to a halt every time it rains ffs!

CrushingOnRubies · Yesterday 19:24

I think because half the country has been disrupted with storms. Delivery lorries, parcels and are probably not where they normally are. I’d leave it till tomorrow at the earliest to complain. And wait to the disruption has cleared

HappiestSleeping · Yesterday 19:24

@amazonletmedown I know this probably doesn't help you, but my order, that I ordered yesterday at 7pm, has just arrived.

Imagine if a REAL disaster happened ! If someone can get so worked up about a failed amazon delivery they might benefit from maybe going out the house, touching grass and they could perhaps go into an actual shop whilst they are in the real world . The fresh air would do them good then they can come home and realise how ridiculous this post is.

People are dealing with ACTUAL problems , kids are in hospitals with life threatening illnesses and all this poster has to get worked up about is their delivery not coming.

Lastofthesummerwines · Yesterday 19:28

Yep some sad person on the wind up for sure.

There are storms out there ffs. Prime is very cheap for what you get so it’s hardly paying through the nose

Furious? Would you ever get a hold of yourself.

wwyd2026 · Yesterday 19:32

Amazon Prime hasn’t been guaranteed next day for a long time. It’s only on some items now.

FieryA · Yesterday 19:32

Why are you being so entitled? I mean so much anger, that you've created a new account to complain! Gosh! Sometimes orders are delayed, it happens. If these items were that important, you could have ordered earlier or gone to the shops to buy it. Just relax. It will come late today or tomorrow.

Imnotalemming · Yesterday 19:35

It probably will come. Mine came quite late the other day. Weather bad. If its not coming you'll probably get a message saying arriving tomorrow. Haven't you got another towel you can take to the gym.

Erm I pay prime and do not get next day delivery, nor the same day

I pay prime for free delivery on prime products

Next day would be lovely but I accept that its 48 hours and Im willing to pay that cost with Prime tv thrown in

I pay the same as you

Drinkupletsgoforawalk · Yesterday 19:45

Ordered something I needed for £90

have prime - said it would be here Tues.

didn’t arrive so on weds used chat to ask where it was.

said would get to me asap and would as a goodwill gesture refund £35

arrived on weds but no refund showing up

thought it might take a while.

on fri phoned customer services asking where my £35 as promised was.

full of apologies they refunded the whole £90 and said I could keep the item.

annoying was late as genuinely was domegujing o needed and even the one day late had inconvenienced me - but to get a full refund was a lovely bonus!
