Amazon order not delivered

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:09

I have placed a pretty hefty Amazon order. Christmas gifts and some stock up bits as I bulk buy all household essentials on there (it’s cheaper!)

The order was meant to be delivered between 11&2. Then it was pushed back, and now it’s just marked as “still arriving today”.

i suspect it’s not coming because it’s such a large delivery but AIBU to complain?!

I pay for prime next day delivery (and actually ordered on Friday!) so I kind of expect it to be delivered!

Sometimes shit happens and things get delayed. Get a grip.

AliceMcK · Yesterday 18:38

It’s 6.30pm Amazon can still deliver, if not it will probably turn up first thing in the morning. It’s not a big deal even if you pay prime delivery, if for some reason it doesn’t turn up they will refund, that’s just how it goes sometimes.

Of course it’s a big deal. The parcel is worth over £350’

You are impatient! I expect it will turn up later tonight or tomorrow. I find prime is normally fantastic but just occasionally you dont get it exactly on time.

PeloMom · Yesterday 18:40

I’ve had things delivered 9-10pm. There’s still time.

Snackpocket · Yesterday 18:40

FML this is one of the problems with the world today. No one can wait for anything anymore. Yes it’s a mild inconvenience it’s not arrived yet but that’s it.

Needmorelego · Yesterday 18:41

Have you actually contacted them?
There could be many many different reasons why the delivery hasn't come that's beyond the control of the driver.
It's annoying yes but people can't control everything in life.

Fawltytitties · Yesterday 18:42

What are you on about? It’s 6.40pm. You’ve still hours of delivery time left.

Voltorb · Yesterday 18:42

It seems incredibly unlikely that you don't have a towel or deodorant refills for tomorrow.

You're being incredibly impatient and it's ridiculous to complain about a delivery being potentially 1 day later than anticipated.

AuroraBloom · Yesterday 18:43

I've just had an Amazon delivery. There's still time for it to be delivered today.

AliTheMinx · Yesterday 18:44

They deliver up until 9-10pm, so still plenty of time. Just keep an eye on the tracker.

You do know you can just go on the website and say it hasn't been delivered and they offer you options. It really isn't a big deal. Such a drama!

tinygingermum · Yesterday 18:46

I have had this loads if times with Amazon and it had still arrived that day, except once when it arrived the next day. You are being very over the top about a delayed delivery, and prime is only £8.99 a month so an absolute bargain for what it includes.

It’s been scanned back into the depot, at 6:20 tonight. So they’ve not even bothered to tell me it’s not coming today. I’m furious.

Not here. The UK is a big country!

Eh? No it's not. Russia is a big country. Australia is a big country. You can drive from top to bottom of the UK in 15 hours. We are small.

I can’t believe how dramatic this is 🤦‍♀️

Do you expect a handwritten letter of apology?

AuroraBloom · Yesterday 18:56

I get that it's annoying. You can use the chat thing to complain, it's not great but I've been given refunds through it.

At the very least an email with an explanation.

There are far worse situations to be upset about op. It's frustrating but amazon are generally v reasonable and will offer a refund if you're not happy. Problems occasionally occur. If you're needing things urgently , it's best to give yourself a couple of days to allow for any problems with delivery. That's what I do anyway. Saves the stress.

GardenCovent · Yesterday 19:00

You were told it was coming today, it still might, why get so worked up about something that may not even be an issue.
And even if it is a day late it’s not the end of the world.
Just because you haven’t been affected by storms you don’t know where the items are coming from

Pugdogmom · Yesterday 19:02

First world problems eh? A good part of the country is flooded, trees are down and some businesses are under water, but Amazon didn't deliver yet...🙄

gamerchick · Yesterday 19:02

amazonletmedown · Yesterday 18:37

I’m pretty pissed off. It includes things I did need for tomorrow (a towel for the gym, deodorant refills). You pay through the nose for next day delivery for it to just not turn up. I don’t think the weather is an excuse when we have escaped pretty much all of it!

That isn't essential. I'm pretty sure you can source a towel and some deodorant OP..

If it comes tomorrow you're just going to send the lot back and get a refund? Don't be ridiculous

Amazon has been ransacked due to the get enough shit in for 3 days stuff. The poor drivers get 150+ stops to complete. There might have been issues in various spots. You know where it is and they'll sort it tomorrow.

Refund indeed.
