Do you wash your vacuum head every day?

Following on from another thread in Chat, someone commented that you should be washing your vacuum head regularly, at least weekly if not more. It made me think. 🤔 I have no recollection of ever washing the head of the vacuum cleaner unless I was doing a deep clean of the whole equipment - which might be once every blue moon.
So my question is
Yes you should clean the Vacuum head every week - choose AIBU
No, that would be madness and a waste of time - choose YANBU

Doesn't your machine have filters? They're the bits that you should keep clean and wash regularly to keep the machine doing its job properly.

Sure. Other parts can get clogged or dirty, too.

I do wash my head every day, but it is rude of the OP to assume it is a vacuum.

Honestly, what fresh hell....? Who knew that this was even a thing? If people want to invent unnecessary "tasks" for themselves, that's fine, but I have books to read, so won't be wasting time on this one.

Who knew this was even a thing 🤷🏼‍♀️

The only time I've ever washed one was when I accidentally hoovered up some cat poo. I had to wash the hose as well 🤢

Yes it became a thing so it seems lol, as some started posting on TikTok etc washing their whole Henry/Hetty etc hoovers.
I clean the tools sometimes that came with it.

The other thing that makes me laugh is people washing their filter from a Henry etc, and they clearly say, well it says on mine not to wash it.

I have never in my whole life

I wash out the cylinder thingy occasionally and wash the filter but only when I can be arsed and get them dry

Surely many types of vacuum cleaner have electronics in the brush heads these days? I would have thought washing them would lead to all sorts of trouble and possibly be dangerous. A wipe over and a wash are very different things.
