Spooky Joseph Adverts

Is it just me?

I am currently being bombarded by adverts for Joseph. One of them is of what appears to be a skeletal android with a really weirdly made up face, wearing some kind of long black leather gown thing. She has what I realised on inspection were a large metallic belt and necklace, which appear to look as though she has gynormous holes through her centre and throat.

I find them really alarming and reminicent of a 16th century witch hunt.

I've just checked MN and it seems that it is against rules to post adverts. I did report to Joseph that it scares the bejeepers out of me. Don't know if anyone else has been getting it?

if you’re seeing the ads on MN they are likely Google ads, which are personal to you. If there’s a tiny blue triangle in the corner click on that and you can choose not to see that ad anymore

Hoseph clothing? Can you do a screenshot?

Thanks for the information re reporting ads @CurlsLDN . I had no idea what the blue triangle was all about.
I don't think I've seen the Joseph ad but I do regularly get an advert for another company which I really dislike so I've just followed your advice.

I did delete it but I can't find the pic on their site now. I wrote to them and said it was alarming but it didn't go down very well! I was apparently insulting their creatives dept! Maybe they've removed it?

I have a copy of the image in the message i sent them, but I dont think I'm allowed to post it on MN? I may be wrong ... ??

Models have got very thin again. I find some comfort in the thought that things are moving so fast in fashion, they'll probably be all well-covered muscle by 2028.

Well, I didn't see it that way. But the campaign blurb talks about the creators' use of negative space, so I'd say you fully absorbed their visual message!

You are quite right! I am probs easily spooked and need glasses! But honestly, if you see the whole (small) image on the side of your screen, she REALLY looks like she's been hollowed out.

You'll be surprised to learn that I don't watch horror films. I was invited by an older neighbour to watch a vampire film with her on a Friday night (horror films were a then weekly event - showing my age). It took me several years to recover. The only thing I've seen since was the Blair Witch Project, which I thought was something to do with the Prime Minister. Terrifying.

(I may have perhaps made the Tony B bit up.)
