YABU to care. Both Charles are immoral hypocrites. CS has had many affairs so not sure about judging CW. Two toffs arguing about something from 30 years ago is pathetic, off with both their heads.

CuriousToad · Today 12:32

I think you can believe he’s telling the truth, but also think he’s a shit for saying it publicly to sell his book. Both sides can be shitty and unlikeable.

Winterizcoming · Today 12:34

Maybe he did maybe he didn’t but it’s a shit thing to do to bring this up after all these decades just to make some cash

Middletoleft · Today 12:38

No I don't. I do believe that Charles Spencer is totally obnoxious though. He's been trading on Diana forever.

Charles X would have more sense than to be brutally honest with Charles Spencer.

Now this I agree with completely.

There are no winners here. Spencer wants to make money with a book and wasn't a great brother. Charles was an awful husband, so who knows what he said. Let the woman rest in peace, she wasn't perfect either. I don't know many people, especially younger ones, who are that interested in all this, which is probably the biggest problem for the royals.

@hardshoulderr "He unceremoniously threw his dads wife out of their home when he died. Stuff in bin bags"

It was a joint decision by Charles Spencer and Princess Diana to evict their stepmother (Raine McCorquodale) following their father's death in 1992. They disliked her with a passion and nicknamed her "Acid Raine". Raine was wealthy (and very well connected) in her own right and went to live in her Mayfair town house, so she was hardly destitute.

He sounds beleivable but he is trying to sell a book. Quite frankly even if he did say it. She was his ex wife and they had a very acrimonious split. There was no love lost there, and it’s been nearly 30 years.and the moment was very emotionally charged, who the hell can remember what was said 30 years ago

and what’s the upshot. Charles didn’t like his ex. Plenty don’t.

Error404FucksNotFound · Today 13:15

I expect he did say it, and probably worse about her over the years. He is far from the first cheating bastard to hate his victim.

Nofeckingway · Today 13:17

I have no love of the monarchy . But I can't believe that Charles would be so indiscreet by saying such a thing to Spencer . He would be so cautious about what he said or how he handled this , knowing how hostile people were to him regarding Diana . And how popular she was . Why would he be so foolish as to say such negative things to Diana's brother who was no friends of his .

If he did feel any satisfaction about Diana's death he would have kept it to himself or only confided in Camilla.

Charles Spencer is trying to portray himself as some kind of reasonable decent guy . But his divorces were hostile and some of his children don't speak to him . He wasn't invited to his daughter's wedding.
Another disgruntled aristo betraying his family to make money from a book .

Supersimkin7 · Today 13:26

Whether KC did or didn’t, publishing it 30 years on is deliberately unpleasant to Spencer’s ‘blood family’ his nephews.
