I thought I'd misheard and maybe it was 125lbs but no, 105lbs

I was always 7st 11 at 5 ft 3 . 22 inch waist. I do feel people are bigger these days. My feet are size 3 my DGDs are 7 and 8s.

I don't think so, it depends on your heritage surely? My Gran was from a Scandinavian country and taller than me at nearly 5ft 8 she was probably the upper end of 8-9 stone and looked waifish. A Kate Moss like figure, she had a 26 inch waist, hardly looked a giant! Being taller doesn't make you 'big'.

That doesn't mean a weight of 105lbs was extraordinary for a woman of that height back then.

I don't understand your point. I am trying to explain that the height differences, even 3 inches and ethnicity do make a huge difference in the appearance of someone's size.

Yeah, every source I have just looked at over the past 10 minutes, gives the average height of a woman in the UK as 5 ft 4 inches tall. Average height of a woman worldwide is 5 ft 3 inches tall.

It does but the change is small. It's the average of all adult women and people live longer, and you don't see many tall old people.

I just watched the trailer for Angel Face, she just looks slim, not alarmingly so and certainly fitting of her height. Regionally the girls at DS's school were taller on average than that by year 11 but stick insects in comparison to the actress so IMO it doesn't present as particularly tiny. I suppose it depends what your references are. Equally, I only know two women below 5ft 5!

Heritage or ethnicity don't make someone tall and slim, genes and diet do.

I'm not short and sturdy because I'm British, it's my genes. I'm slim because I eat healthily.

My mum at 5ft 1 reckons she was between 6 1/2 and 7 stone most of her adult life.
