I know I sound horrible. I know I’ll get lots of hate saying leave him the poor man but I know a lot of women feel the same.
I love him but he just gets on my nerves anyone feel the same? Give me stories / things your husbands do that grate on you like a fork on a brick wall. 😂 I know I sound vile. I’m honestly not, just ughhhhh shudder.

All these holier than thou replies yawn.

it’s normal to find your husband fucking annoying sometimes

I agree. 25yrs in with the same person - they will definitely annoy you at some stage. It's not the end of the world or against the law to moan about your partner on a anonymous forum!

Do you not think there's a difference between saying someone drives you mad sometimes, and saying you can't stand them or don't even want to be in the same room as them?

And vice versa - doesn't mean I don't love her to bits.

Honestly I'd find it odd to spend years with the same person and not feel like this occasionally.
Its fine and I think perferctly normal.

Jamlighter · Yesterday 13:56

Most of us have been there. I have considered a pillow for snoring! Those who haven't just trot off back to smug married land and think yourself lucky. If a woman can't vent here where can she?

Same here.

My DH died back in March this year and I miss him very much.

During our 33 year marriage there were plenty of times when we annoyed the fuck out of each other. We could snipe for England but we knew we wouldn't want to be without each other.

Now I am without him and it feels like having had my right arm chopped off.

I’m so sorry for your loss. 💐

I just know I'd be really hurt if I found out DH had been going online and telling random strangers he couldn't stand me.

I'm assuming all the people on here having a bitch wouldn't care if their husbands were doing the same thing?

Beelzebob · Yesterday 14:09

I know this is lighthearted, but contempt will kill a relationship faster than anything else.

Our brains are a lot like algorithms- if you dwell on the irritations, it will serve up more examples. If you dwell on the things you appreciate you’ll see more of those.

Nocameltoeleggingsplease · Yesterday 14:12

Mine has a habit of saying ‘do you want to’ when what he means is he wants to.
So for example if we need to go shopping, he’ll say ‘do you want to go shopping this morning instead of this afternoon’ when what he means is that is his preference.
I’ve started to say no on purpose. So ‘no I’d rather go this afternoon’. He’ll then go on about why we should go in the morning until I reply ‘well why did you ask me which I preferred if we need to go this morning? Just say ‘I want us to go shopping this morning’ and if I object I’ll tell you.
It’s nothing and it’s stupid but it gets on your tits after 20+ years. I don’t hate him though, I love him to bits he’s just becoming an old man but then I’m becoming an old woman so hey ho….
(I’m sure he’s got a list of things that piss him off about me that probably starts with ‘when I ask her what she wants to do she always picks the worst option’ 😂😂’).

If they were doing it anonymously, why would I care? He could show it to me and I would laugh my ass off.

My DH annoys me to no end at times. I KNOW I annoy him at times because I annoy myself. But he is my guy and if someone said something mean about him in public, there would be words at the very least and once, there was. LOL!

He totally has my back and I totally have his and I am one lucky lady. But, if he slugs me one more time as he tosses and turns, his CPAP machine won't save his cute little ass!

He keeps me around because I make him laugh. A lot. I keep him around because he melts my heart. A lot.

MIne goes all round the houses when he's explaining something. I often want to shout 'just get to the fucking point'
Instead I usually drift off and miss the point anyway 🤣

Yes, I still have to tell my VDH that I want the Reader's Digest condensed version when he starts to make a saga out of a trip to Starbucks.

Fair enough, we all have different things that would upset us.

DH regularly tells me I drive him mad when I do X or Y (and I do the same for him) but I do think that's different to saying you can't stand your partner and don't even want to be in the same room as them.

My husband drives me insane. Especially when I’m in the kitchen trying to cook, he’ll come and make a coffee with his massive elaborate coffee machine, spill stuff, get in the way, stand in front of drawers I need in.

it’s a rule now we can’t eat in silence, we need music or something. Because the noise of him eating makes me want to strangle him.

I get you, you love him, but husbands are fucking annoying. The same way it would be spending that amount of time with anyone I imagine!

Ahahahhaaa made me laugh - yous actually discussed this and agreed a solution to the sound of him eating 😂 😂 😂

Mine ..had this habit of eating salt and vinegar crisps in bed with ketchup to dip in.
It upset me so much I often ended up in tears ... despite me asking him not to ,he carried on eating in bed .
So as I am the only person who ventures in to a supermarket
I just stopped buying anything he ate in bed
We got as far as never having bread in the house , before he realised every time he ate in bed I didn't buy the food items again..
We got there in the end ...

Ooh that would make me murderous! Well done on sorting it out!

SapphireSeptember · Yesterday 14:34

I'm glad I'm single. DS annoyed me this morning by biting his toothbrush so I couldn't brush his teeth, pulling my hair and trying to escape halfway through me changing his dirty nappy. I'm on my period as well, and feel poorly. Happy days. (At least it's raining, that's making me happy! Not actually sarcasm.)

Lentilcakes · Yesterday 14:40

He annoyed me the morning because he said ‘I’ve got a new Alexa which is an upgrade and more like AI’ then he proceeded to ask it something in which the old Alexa answered in tandem. Ffs - he’s obsessed w tech/gadgets and I’d be happy for most of it to get in the bin!!

I feel your pain. My DH had a habit of emptying the kitchen bin when I'm cooking until I banned him.
I think he thought he was doing a helpful thing.

ShutupLwren · Yesterday 14:49

I adore my partner. He is absolutely my soul mate if such a thing exists.
We share the load, we have hobbies we enjoy together, mutual respect and we fancy each other. Things are terrific most of the time.

But sometimes for absolutely no reason other than we have small children and I’m overwhelmed I’d love him to fuck off for a few hours and leave me alone. I’m sure he thinks it too. I can’t help it. Poor fucker does absolutely nothing wrong but I just think I’d like him to breathe in a different space than mine for a bit 😂

Viviennemary · Yesterday 14:56

I think it's really easy to go off people (even husbands) when you have to be with them most of the time. All their faults are magnified a thousandfold.

Love DH, but this morning he has really got on my fucking nerves it isn't even 10:00 AM yet.

in no particular order these are the things he has done so far to annoy me:

Made a huge mess in the kitchen when making pancakes for the children's breakfast.

Told me we are almost of milk- he was in a supermarket yesterday.

Put a load of white laundry in with his dark stuff with out any qualms at all he was trying to be "helpful "

Asked what's for dinner tonight, as he didn't really fancy what's on the meal plan tonight.

DH will be sorting out all of the above. He will be cooking or buying everyone a take away tonight he can fuck off if he thinks I am sorting any of this out!

Meanwhile I am sat in the coffee shop enjoying a coffee and a cake reading my book and I don't intend to walk slowly home until lunch time.

You're a saint for putting up with him, a true saint! 😂

Oh and....he didn't get up until ten mins ago. That in itself pissed me right off 😂

It must be nice not having any serious problems in life.

Littlejellyuk · Yesterday 15:15

Me and my DH have a rule now. 😆
If one of us is cooking, (for instance my DH) then first he make a cuppa for us and then ban me from the kitchen whilst he cooks, or else I will get under his feet. And vice versa when I cook, he pisses off and leaves me be.

It has solved a lot of tediousness 💯

Love this thread BTW, glad to see I'm not the only one who wants to smother a snorer/loud breather with a pillow at times 😆🤣 😂 @omgcomeon

Small kids is really hard, but wait til you get to menopause. Him just walking in the room will have you ready to dig up the patio 😂😂
