It seems to be every weekend me and my partner have a disagreement. He punishes me and doesn’t see me the whole weekend. Last night I was very drunk and we went to a bar for 1 drink. My boyfriend was messin about with his phone and went into his camera roll and there was so many selfies of him that I’ve never seen or been sent them? I said that’s a bit odd and don’t think men do that? And he was raging and left me home and said he wants the whole weekend to himself when we had plans to go to the cinema tonight.. I don’t have my child all weekend (she’s away to her dads) so I am now sitting in the house alone off work all weekend because he’s now being stubborn and won’t see me. This isn’t the first time this has happened. How could you go the whole weekend without seeing your girlfriend? I usually work at the weekends to and this weekend is my time off :/ I apologised to him about being drunk etc and he started calling me a tragedy and a drunken mess. And he even said why don’t you go down to your mum and dads to feed you drink and ruin your life. Said some really nasty things. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just accept my apology and move on??

You must be really desperate for a relationship if you're putting up with this shit.

fishonabicycle · Today 18:52

Why do you care if he is seeing other women? This relationship is shit and should be finished before you involve your child in it, but or get pregnant.

It was one night out and I was at a bar. I don’t know why people think just because I was drunk I am now an alcoholic

Why would I not care if he was with another women? Maybe the fact I don’t want my boyfriend cheating on me?

If I were in a relationship with someone who tried to "punish" me by giving me the silent treatment or sulking for days or pretending I didn't exist whenever we had a disagreement or I didn't behave or speak the way he wanted then yes, I'd end the relationship. What's the point if he refuses to communicate? I'd certainly give "space" if he felt he was too angry to talk or wanted time alone, but I'd expect him to tell me that civilly rather than riding off on his huffy and leaving me with no idea what comes next and I'd expect him to have a conversation once he's calmed down so we can avoid this shite in the future.

I don't know either of you and I'm sure there's a lot more to your relationship than what you've written here BUT both the silent treatment, putting the whole blame for an argument on the other person, and the "Oh poor me!" sulky response, when they become habits, are often red flags for emotional abuse. Combine that with his already being nasty to you, accusing you of various things you don't agree are true, and insulting you and your family and I wouldn't wait for his meanness to get more serious.

People are saying it doesn't matter if he's cheating because even if you could be 100% sure that he is NOT cheating, why stay in a relationship that doesn't seem to be making you happy?

So are you all saying not one thing he has done is a red flag and would insinuate cheating? Not a trace of me on social media or WhatsApp. Tells me he doesn’t speak or hasn’t spoke to his ex wife who he has kids to once in 8 months. Never takes me anywhere etc. when we fall out doesn’t see me for days. Does it not sound like he’s entertaining other women?

It doesn't matter what we think. You clearly think what he is doing is wrong. So why are you still with him? You don't need us to tell you he's a bad boyfriend and to leave him. You can ditch him for any reason you choose. Don't like the way he is speaking you? Ditch him. Think he is cheating on you? Ditch him. Think he should be putting you on his Facebook but he isn't? Ditch him. He isn't taking you anywhere and you think he should. Ditch him.

Then work on the reasons you are getting so drunk you have such a bad hangover that you have to ring in sick to work. That's really bad behaviour on your part.

Naurrr · Today 19:55

How is he a boyfriend if you don't go anywhere with him? It doesn't sound like a relationship, why not date other men, or enjoy the bliss of being rid of men?

Askin if you women would tell a man like this to fuck off haha

The vast majority of us would. But you carry on, Op. He's obviously got a gold encrusted penis.

Because you post here frequently about the same thing, and usually part of the story is that he has criticised your drinking, and your posting style suggests that you aren't always sober, and because you were so drunk that you had to call I sick from work the next day.

Nobody here is saying he's an angel snd it's all your fault, but the whole relationship sounds awful and you don't appear to be helping. As others have said, if you don't like being with him, end it.

AndImVictoriaMalcolm · Today 20:36

I would definitely tell this prick to fuck off yeah. I would hazard a guess that he deliberately picked a fight because he had somewhere he would rather be this weekend. This is admittedly in part because of the selfies you said you happened to see on his phone.

Dump him pronto, and more importantly do something for yourself this weekend, don’t let him and his nasty behaviour spoil your childfree time.

Whoowhoopitstbesoundofthedapolice · Today 20:49

I've been in a similar situation and I told him to fuck off. Eventually, when I looked at my own behaviour, I noticed a pattern and worked hard to change it.

It's difficult to see the problematic behaviour until you're ready so,as gentle as I can, i'd like to say ...mate have a fucking word with yourself! Do not accept a relationship where you feel the need to wait around while getting the silent treatment. Bin him and work on yourself!

Best of luck and also stick to stuff like lucozade sports drinks to help with the hangover and fear
