It seems to be every weekend me and my partner have a disagreement. He punishes me and doesn’t see me the whole weekend. Last night I was very drunk and we went to a bar for 1 drink. My boyfriend was messin about with his phone and went into his camera roll and there was so many selfies of him that I’ve never seen or been sent them? I said that’s a bit odd and don’t think men do that? And he was raging and left me home and said he wants the whole weekend to himself when we had plans to go to the cinema tonight.. I don’t have my child all weekend (she’s away to her dads) so I am now sitting in the house alone off work all weekend because he’s now being stubborn and won’t see me. This isn’t the first time this has happened. How could you go the whole weekend without seeing your girlfriend? I usually work at the weekends to and this weekend is my time off :/ I apologised to him about being drunk etc and he started calling me a tragedy and a drunken mess. And he even said why don’t you go down to your mum and dads to feed you drink and ruin your life. Said some really nasty things. I don’t understand why he couldn’t just accept my apology and move on??

Nah he was on his phone whilst we where sitting in the bar we where taking photos of us two. Then he went into his camera roll. I did apologise to him. But I’d understand him just wanting space even tonight. But to want space the whole weekend is a bit cuntish

But to want space the whole weekend is a bit cuntish

But you were the drunken cunt first...

JLou08 · Today 15:28

Sounds like you get nasty when you're drunk and he can't manage conflict well. You both need to work on yourselves.

RowsOfFlowers · Today 15:30

Are you both teenagers?

Rachelshair · Today 15:36

He doesn't sound like he's the one for you OP. He doesn't want to see you, so why would you want him? When he comes crawling back, ignore and block. And get your own life, hobbies, stuff to do, so you can enjoy your child free time without needing an immature bloke.

Naurrr · Today 15:39

Why would you be sitting home alone all weekend? Live your life, forget blokes, getting so drunk you were unable to work isn't ideal.
Boyfriends are for making life easier and fun.

@littlepink83 what are your plans for the weekend then?

You keep saying “mum and dad would be.”
What do you mean?

I think she means they would be heavy drinkers if i understood her.

Are you drunk now? This is the 2nd thread you've posted today and the other one was deleted by MNHQ

Grow up

Edited

I was going to ask that .

SquidgyPudge · Today 15:46

If I have understood you right, you got so drunk last night you and were so sick you had to call in sick this morning? Are you still drunk? How old are you? You said your daughter will be at her dad's this weekend. Where was she last night? Does she often witness you so drunk you forget things?

Your boyfriend doesn't sound like a very nice person going on what you have said. But I would be interested in hearing his side of the story.

Any which way, I think you should split up with your boyfriend and concentrate on staying sober for your daughter.

middleagedandinarage · Today 15:47

littlepink83 · Today 15:04

Yep! I was supposed to be in work.

Wow, well done you! All I can think is your poor daughter. I hope her father is a better role model.

KaleidoscopeSmile · Today 15:49

littlepink83 · Today 15:04

Yep! I was supposed to be in work.

Oh god, I was just about to defend you to the anti-drink puritans on the thread and now I've just read this shit and can no longer be arsed

BasildonBonds · Today 15:49

Forget this unhealthy relationship. Put your child first. Maybe cut down on the drinking a bit?

MarilynMerlot · Today 15:54

Try and put your kid before black-out drinking and incompatible men. Sounds like you’ve picked up the habit from your parents the way you go on about their drinking.

Hoppinggreen · Today 15:59

littlepink83 · Today 14:52

Askin if you women would tell a man like this to fuck off haha

I might but I would certainly tell both of you to grow up

FaceIt · Today 16:02

I would say he’s abusive and he’s punishing you

Drunk or not, your comment wasn’t even that bad or offensive.

He’s either highly sensitive to your perceived criticism or he’s got something to hide (like sending the images to different girls perhaps?).

I would dump him. He’s treating you like sh*t.

I know. Some children really have a bad start to life, it's so sad.

And then they grow up to post on mn...this teenage drama is pathetic

Shedsqueek · Today 16:07

You dont sound very pleasant when youve had too much to drink. Perhaps try to stay sober so you can make a more informed judgement about why you argue.

dairydebris · Today 16:08

Time for you kids to go back to school.

JustMeHello · Today 16:12

Haven't you already had multiple threads about this?

Tinkalinkalink · Today 16:16

I would seriously make steps towards going booze free.

MummyWillow1 · Today 16:17

You are being unreasonable to put up with his childish behaviour. But I feel you both seem quite immature. Dump him and get your own life - never rely on anyone else to be your only source of fulfilment - that is the quickest way to be unhappy.

Millytante · Today 16:17

littlepink83 · Today 14:52

Askin if you women would tell a man like this to fuck off haha

“You women”? And what might you be?
If I knew a man like this, “Fuck off” would be totally inadequate.
But slanging matches over the most incredibly trivial crap are par for the course in your scene, I take it, so telling each other to eff orf aht of it regularly is probably foreplay.

(But yeah I’d use the phrase to a guy, but only in a friendly way, meaning something like ‘Get out of it/ you’re kidding’ etc.)

Meadowfinch · Today 16:19

Why would you waste time with someone so childish? Just get rid.

And stop drinking, you aren't 14.

Boomer55 · Today 16:20

Branleuse · Today 15:10

Are you saying that you were drunk and you went through his phone and told him that he was odd for having selfies in his phone pics and that you didn't think men did that??

If that's the case, then Im not surprised he's upset with you.

Was he also drunk or was it just you?

If he doesn't want to see you or accept your apology I think it's patronising to say that he's being stubborn and refusing to see you. He's not a kid. He doesn't have to see someone who gets drunk, goes into his phone and then insults his masculinity for no reason.

This. Tacky behaviour by OP. Poor child in all this.
