To love Meghan and Harry but think they need to let us see the kids?

I'm no Meghan hater, but, if youre coming back to the uk and royal life, I do think the kids need to be shown.

Just like i like seeing Louis and the others, theyve got little personalities we want to see 🤷‍♀️

Well Louis seems funny and slightly camp - Charlotte seems the typical sister keeping Louis in line - and she looks so much like will!

The oldest seems very serious bless him, makes sense

Again... why do complete strangers want to know this about little kids you don't know? Do you not understand how creepy that sounds

I’d love to see what they look like too! I understand why they don’t want people to know & respect their privacy, but I’m curious. I bet they’re both beautiful!

Edited

I bet hes as handsome as his dad is, and Lilibet as beautiful as meghan.

I don't like Meghan and Harry. But I don't think they have any obligation to show off pictures of the kids. In fact it would probably be better all round if they didn't.

Yes I will never forget seeing them behind their mums coffin. Never.

And from then on, all their mistakes in the tabloids. Theres a kind of attachment to them that we feel having seen that.

You wouldn't have been more than 7 when Princess Diana died, watching kids walk behind their mother's coffin is more likely to be trauma than attachment.

Yes like one of the Christmas day weirdos telling Charlotte that their dead granny Diana would be so proud of her!?There is just no need to subject the children to these nut cases. The only reason to do it is so the family can keep their whole gravy train going.

In 1997 when you were 7 at most? Really?

I don’t feel an attachment to either of them and I am 20 years older than you. Your interest in them and their children sounds really unhealthy. Why would you feel attachment to a racist, drug addicted stranger?

SilenceInside · Yesterday 21:30

@hotmumshit you feel a level of attachment to them, “we” don’t all feel that way. Many of us recognise that we don’t know them at all, not even slightly, and witnessing them at public events doesn’t mean that we do actually know them. It’s projection on your part.

NotAtMyAge · Yesterday 21:31

hotmumshit · Yesterday 20:04

I'm surprised by the poll. Not intending to ask a silly question, but why?

Part of the royals deal is that we get a photo every year and see them during the Trooping the Colour, which I love.

They aren't coming back to royal life as you put it. Not living in a royal residence or becoming working royals. Their children and their family life are their own business and no-one else's.

I don’t feel any attachment to them because of that.

weird way to react to what was two children being forced into behaving in a disgusting awful traumatising way so that the great British public could get pictures.

Ved · Yesterday 21:31

Knickerstoya · Yesterday 20:57

They?

where I’m from camp means overblown gay behaviour. And a wee boy shouldn’t be spoken about in that way.

either way, your interest in someone else’s children is weird.

they’re private citizens. Their mother and father have made the decision not to put their faces in the news media or social media and the public have no right to see them.

This. ^ What an odd thread. You lost me when you said Louis is camp @hotmumshit

Leave Harry and Meghan be. Let them keep their childrens faces from public view if they want to ... They're not public property to be gawped at!

!

I'm a lot older than you. I never thought Princess Margaret was "fun".

Can i ask you why? Genuinely?

I know she was quite sad

I can accept that having been born in 91, i know less about Margaret than most people here, i'm fine with it

NotAtMyAge · Yesterday 21:34

hotmumshit · Yesterday 20:08

That makes me sad as I genuinely didnt think I was

Its not like theyre some influencers or uk celebs - that would be weird to care

These are royals - funded by the tax payer, held up to us all as the UK's family.

Will and Harry had too much intrusion growing up, i'm sure, but i dont think wills kids do

If youre coming back as a working royal, living off the taxpayer - i dont see why a photo and a trip to Trooping the Colour is too big an ask 🤷‍♀️😬

They aren't coming back as working royals. That has been made very clear.

BasiliskStare · Yesterday 21:35

George and to a lesser extent Charlotte and Louis are of constitutional importance being the heir and the spares. We see limited photos of them at certain planned times or occasions. It's been the way for a while with the direct line of succession
H is not a member of the WRF and he and his children are in real terms of no constitunional importance. No need for any official photos. If M wants to put these up with backs of heads / blanked faces - that's her choice. There is no need.

I think the difference is quite clear.
& despite your explanation , I personally find your description of Louis as camp a little uncomfortable. But hey - you've got a conversation going.

Wasn't she an alcoholic? She also seemed to have extremely bad taste in men.

The anger towards them is ridiculous, cant enjoy ITV for 5 mins without someone popping up to slag her off

You jumped the shark with ITV.

Anonymouseposter · Yesterday 21:37

They’re not going to be working royals and their children aren’t for our entertainment.
All the media speculation gets on my nerves. How would anyone like to deal with difficult family issues with everyone having an opinion on it and posting all over Social media?
We don’t really know what goes on and I wish everyone would just let the king and William do their job without making a soap opera of their family life.
I hope that Harry and Meghan are happy but that they stay out of the limelight and that family relationships eventually mend.
Some sectors of the media love to whip up the drama. I hope Harry learns from the past and doesn’t engage with it again.

It’s just a saying.

NeverDropYourMooncup · Yesterday 21:38

hotmumshit · Yesterday 20:14

I dont pay that much attention as I find the coverage a bit much with the subtle dislike of meghan

I like them! But did think theyd be working as royals, as their security arrangements seem to be tax funded

Edited

Whether it is or not, do you think that letting the assorted loons of the country know exactly what their children look like is going to enhance their safety or make it far, far riskier for them?

SunsetDrifter · Yesterday 21:38

Can we see your kids? Why don't you share some holiday snaps and some videos here so we can get to know their personalities? Isn't a weird request at all asking for someone to share photos of their kids publicly is it?

You have absolutely no idea what any royal kids personality or any other detail about them for that matter apart from their ages and the school they attend (as there's such a song and dance about it!). They are paraded around dressed up in suits and made to sit through various long dull events. How exactly do you believe you know anything about them and more to the point why do you need to? They are just children born into an overprivileged family, "famous" for being born into an overprivileged family. I don't need to see photos of their parents, nevermind their kids!

I really don't think any of their kids should be paraded around, the whole concept is weird.
