To love Meghan and Harry but think they need to let us see the kids?

I'm no Meghan hater, but, if youre coming back to the uk and royal life, I do think the kids need to be shown.

Just like i like seeing Louis and the others, theyve got little personalities we want to see 🤷‍♀️

They don't do royal duties and aren't funded by the taxpayer.

Yep.

They’re not working royals.

Hmm i did think they were coming back to work. If they arent working royals, living off the taxpayer then fine, I get it

I'm surprised by the poll. Not intending to ask a silly question, but why?

Part of the royals deal is that we get a photo every year and see them during the Trooping the Colour, which I love.

Because these are actual human beings we're talking about. You don't own them, they don't owe you anything and they don't exist solely for your amusement or enjoyment.

Genuinely isnt 🤷‍♀️ just something I was thinking about

And I do love them - Meghan had a tough time, i get it.

That makes me sad as I genuinely didnt think I was

Its not like theyre some influencers or uk celebs - that would be weird to care

These are royals - funded by the tax payer, held up to us all as the UK's family.

Will and Harry had too much intrusion growing up, i'm sure, but i dont think wills kids do

If youre coming back as a working royal, living off the taxpayer - i dont see why a photo and a trip to Trooping the Colour is too big an ask 🤷‍♀️😬

The kids aren't being paid as working royals. Their parents are (maybe? I don't know). So the parents need to show up for photos but the kids have the right to remain private.

What made you think that? It’s literally been in every report that they aren’t going to be working royals!

AcrossThisRoom · Yesterday 20:13

I think that the children deserve privacy. I think we see too much of other Royal children. At Xmas William and Kate let their children take selfies with randoms and Charlotte even hugged one. Some people have zero boundaries to ask children they don’t know for photos and hugs.

We don’t need to see the children.

HeddaGarbled · Yesterday 20:13

We do see them: they are very much a part of her marketing. She obscures their faces a bit.

Dandeloosha · Yesterday 20:13

Stop being weird and creepy.

I dont pay that much attention as I find the coverage a bit much with the subtle dislike of meghan

I like them! But did think theyd be working as royals, as their security arrangements seem to be tax funded

Of course we don’t need to see the kids. That’s weird and inappropriate. I wish H&M would stop posting photos of them. If they don’t want their children in the public eye they should stop using them as props for publicity. Having their heads turned away just makes it all seem hypocritical.

Agreed. It's behaviour like this that makes it so difficult to have sympathy for them.

HelenaWilson · Yesterday 20:15

If youre coming back as a working royal, living off the taxpayer

They are not coming back as working royals and they won't be living off the taxpayer.

The RF as a whole do not 'live off the taxpayer'. Those who are working royals get public money only to cover the expenses of carrying out official duties. Or in the case of the King, to cover the expenses of his role as Head of State.
Those who are not working royals get no public money.

AmberSpy · Yesterday 20:15

No child chooses their parents, Archie and Lilibet included. They have as much right to privacy as any other children, and their parents being entitled attention seekers doesn't change that.

See, I think its the kids that keep them in people's affections 🤷‍♀️

As a mum, I relate more to parents and like hearing the tidbits about how theyre up all night etc

They are not royals, so there is no "royals deal". They are private citizens.

Opinion polls show that the British public don't want them to return to royal duties because they are so toxic.

That means they don't have to show us their children and I doubt most people are bothered about seeing them.

AmethystDeceiver · Yesterday 20:16

doodleygirl · Yesterday 20:04

Just weird that you believe there is a right to see the children. Leave them alone and crack on with your life

Yup

It's been stated that their security arrangements are a family matter.

They’re not working royals so there is no ‘royal deal’ with them.
I think they’re a pair of narcissistic arseholes, but we have no right at all to see their children, who are living as private citizens.

ProfessorofDarkArts · Yesterday 20:17

Don’t worry I expect you will see them
soon, the turned away social media shots are clearly leading up to a big exciting monetised reveal of the poor kids - if MandH genuinely didn’t want them to be seen/recognised they’d keep them off social media all together.

Which i took as code for tax funded 😄

For a royalist, you don’t seem to know much about the workings (or non-workings) of the royal family. But in any case your interest seems a bit unusual.

I’m a mum to 3 children the same ages as William’s 3 children. I don’t feel I need to relate to them, nor feel like I need to hear about them waking in the night.
