AIBU to think moustaches have unfortunate associations?

Yes, think it's just age. In the UK at least, when I was a kid, it seemed only "older" men had any facial hair, and we all watched the Chandler trying on a Tom Selleck tash.
But then, after the noughties, young men started beards/moustaches, so it's the norm for them, though they seem more sculpted than the older men's ones from the past.

I don't think they bother me as much as a beard without a moustache, but they definitely give me early Kevin Webster vibes.

The only moustache I like is the one work by David Suchet as Poirot. All others look ridiculous. No one is improved by one.

Not recently. The last successful moustache i saw was on Tom Selleck. Even my 8yr old DD commented that Magnum is very handsome.
