Depressing. I know of so
many - and keep hearing of more - young professional people who are working abroad and unlikely to come back to the UK. All are - or would have been - higher rate tax payers. Many medics. People we really can’t afford to lose.

Planned with our total destruction in mind. They also hate women and want to remove our freedoms.

Why does the LGBT community support Islam via the Greens? Surely, they will lose their freedoms as well.

Yes, Glasgow has big problems just now. They have the highest UK number of supported asylum seekers. Rape is 43% up since 2021, and there's a dispersal zone active in the city centre (for all the good that's doing).
That aside, there's the knock on effect where people can't get social housing as those with asylum backgrounds are inevitably identified as most "in need", and then huge, rapid demographic shifts in areas with high percentages of social housing.

Someone linked to Katy Lam MP’s private member’s bill asking for crime statistics. No doubt this bill will be “talked out” or somehow squashed but it would be good to draw attention to it on a “statistics” thread.

Re. Glasgow - there is currently a Disclosure programme about it on BBC iPlayer. It does tend to suggest that the people complaining about the rise in open drug dealing and drug usage in the city centre (drug dealers are primarily migrants or are using children to do it) as being "racist". The presenter does try his best to show the issues but sadly it becomes very "us and them" again without exploring the problems in depth. I'd say the problems are clear to see, it's a difficult one as Glasgow has always had issues with homelessness and drugs but I think openly dealing (with the dealers being migrants) is a new thing and causing lots of problems, and there is a big rise in sexual assaults (including rape) too. The presenter touches on it but it just makes it sound like there is some far right uprising, when I think it's more nuanced than that. I disagree with far right stuff btw, as well as far left, I think less shouting and reactionary stuff would be better but the government just doesn't want to face up to things sadly.

They exist in a bubble. They are mainly middle-class so insulated from the reality of living in multicultural neighbourhoods or next door to an HMO. They cling to the big bag of progressive ideas because it's their identity and they are part of a group that all thinks the same. No deviation of thought is allowed otherwise they might get cast out of the group.

Their identity as good-rbinkers matters more than anything.

Govt and institutions are made up of these people.

It's always been the way to manage discontent and views they don't like hasn't it - shut down concerns with Racist! accusations. Thankfully we're getting over that now. Much like we did the issues we had saying biological sex is real.

The BBC have been terrible on this issue and many others. They can only see it as migrants = victims = good and anyone saying anything different is racist and far right.

This is our public broadcaster that we all pay for.
