Stopping the boats is easy...

All we have to do is abandon the ECHR, the Refugee Convention, the UN, the G7, NATO and the WTO. Then we can break maritime law and start sinking the boats. Obviously we'd have to proscribe the RNLI and change the job description of the coast guard to encourage people who want to sink boats to sign up. The fishermen will be fine.
Once we start with this deterrent we can start kicking out other undesirables. I'd start with the students. Coming over here using our universities as a gateway to benefits street. So we ban them, no more student visas. We might see a few universities close but no great loss, you learn more in the school of life.
After that take away access to ALL benefits for anyone not born here. Don't care if you've always worked and paid your taxes you're not ENGERLISH so less Dr Khalid more Dr Callum.
Obviously once we start making Britain Great again there may be a couple of teensy issues. Food might cost a lot more because the lefty EU might not want to trade with a nation that wants to isolate itself and kill innocent people. It'll be fine because there will be 100% employment because instead of benefits you'll have to do your 60 hours on the food farm to earn your pound credits.
Family will be legally obliged to look after any living relative as there won't be anyone left to do it because we deported them all. And obviously the NHS was full of loony lefties who went round caring for people instead of focusing on what really mattered, which is profit.
They're just a couple of the benefits of stopping the boats, because who cares about the bigger picture or unintended consequences eh?
Giving up our place on the world stage is a small price to pay for stopping a handful of people coming from countries we benefited from or bombed isn't it?

I declined to react to an irrelevant statement you made about boats from Indonesia.

I also to mention that the Conservatives passed an absurd law declaring Rwanda yo be safe country, nullifying the legal basis for the Supreme Court ruling. However this quickly became irrelevant because one of the first things Labour did was to cancel the programme, following expert advice.

Neither omission constitutes an incorrect statement. Now how about telling us how to make your ideas work?

Why was it irrelevant exactly?

And yes Labour scrapped it, which could be their mistake at the next GE, you still ignored the legislation.

Pakistan is not at war in 2026, there should be zero asylum seekers from there.
Unless you think they're some sort of human punishment we should endure for sins of the past, which seems a bit racist.

Again, read a book. There are plenty to choose from.

Do you want me to explain Partition to you? It’s about time people in the UK understood that the ramifications of the actions our government makes today will be felt for generations. Stop sowing war, instability and violence elsewhere and the UK will go very far in protecting its borders for future generations.

Fuck me, barrel scraping. I think the Romans should apologise too. As for them Mongol invaders and those visi goths.

Partition was 80 years ago. 80 years ago a pint of cider was thruppence., George 6th was king, there was one TV channel, Blackpool, Preston, Huddersfield were in the English first division...just think about that for a second

If you read the thread it was pointed out how the Aussies stopped boats arriving

Indeed. And the answer to my question about how realistically to implement this in the UK has been a deafening silence.

Intercept the boats in our waters. Set up a centre on an uninhabited island owned by the UK.

Edited

Because the Australians stopped the boats with methods not available here.

Obviously not, it hasn’t been silence has it. You’re just stuck on the same questions and putting up barriers that are not there. Up to you but it won’t resolve much.

Yeah it’s funny just how much the UK focuses on its own losses and culture and constantly bangs on about something that also happened 80 years ago but people seem to be unable to get over it. What was that again? That thing we are supposed to constantly commemorate and talk about and celebrate and cry over.

It’s amazing how other nations are expected to rise above it and turn the other cheek when the UK is such a nostalgic country constantly focused on its own sense of victimhood.

And the Romans and Mongols did not need to apologise. Why? Because they themselves were invaded and defeated. So maybe don’t wish you were a Roman.

the echr depends on leaders actually caring about legislation. Putin , and certainly hitler, did not give a sh&t, hence the atrocities.

You talked about Aus not having rickety rowboats etc which was incorrect.

I don't have any questions. I wasn't asking, I was telling - we should be accepting zero asylum seekers from Pakistan.

You have literally asked me two questions about Pakistan in your responses to me. If you can’t even be bothered to make a note of your own responses then I most certainly can’t help you.

I'm reading a book just now. It's quite good. It hasn't changed my mind on the issue.
