To dislike the vitriol on here about their return

VictoriaSpunge · Yesterday 09:10

Just read through two different threads about their return to this country and I could feel my energy draining the more I read the comments.
There is so much vitriol and lots of snidy remarks in the comments.
Why not just leave them be, let them get on with their lives and wish them well?

We are not all fans though. Reasonable people, yes, fans no!

You would call your self a reasonable person, rather than a hater, wouldn’t you?

I think you're confused....I never called you, or indeed anyone else on this particular thread, fans. I was just responding to that poster's point.
I wasn't being personal about anyone.
Not my style.

Yes, it’s not necessary imv but what an idiot -I’ll write a warts and all story of my traumatic life with no consideration for family members - oh,dear why is everyone horrid to me

No concept of cause and effect either of them

I do not ever post on this topic, I don’t actually follow H&M. And so for those that say this thread belongs only in the Royal Family topic section, do understand that by occasionally posting out of that topic PPs with a moderate opinion might be able to express an occasional opinion also.

My point wasn’t personal to you @OrangeAxolotyl either, it was in relation to the use of the word ‘fans’. Apologies if it came across that way.

Gosh compared to some of the shenanigans that go on in my family, that I know are absolutely true, I wouldn’t even dare to comment on the going’s on of the Royal Family, other than to wish them all well.

blythet · Yesterday 23:29

Everyone is allowed their own views and opinions. It’s literally what a forum is for.
YABU for thinking everyone should have the same view as you

Ok, no problem. Thanks 👍🏼

The hatred and vitriol, particularly against Meghan, started long before the book was published.

The Markles titles will be removed, it’s just a case of when, not if.

NoCommentingFromNowOn · Today 01:35

I’m looking forward to them coming back because I haven’t watched Eastenders for ages and the daily information about them will fill that gap nicely.

Oh they’re coming back? Wonder where they’re going to live? Outside London, but where?

I find it interesting that people think that William stripping his brothers title and causing further animosity between him and his only sibling, someone he was once very close to is something to celebrate. Even he's angry with Harry, it doesn't mean he hates him or wants to hurt his niece or nephew. It would only back up Harry's point that he's the spare.

Corianda · Today 07:57

She has an acting job here

Lexibletheflexible · Today 08:18

I never knew real people actually felt this strongly about them. Well, not real, sane people who have never been sectioned.

They're just a couple with kids.

You don’t need to commit a crime to have your titles removed. The Danish and other monarchies showed how easily it can be done.

Plus Andrew Mountbatten Windsor even had Prince removed, a title he was born into.

The Markles don’t have a problem exploiting the crown & this country for financial benefit. The Markles are actually destroying the monarchy by slagging off and briefing against the RF. Plus sullying the crown with all this chavtastic twerking & trash bag attitude. Every day they scrape the barrel.

This £5m a year security guaranteed the Markles will be demanding British taxpayers pay for it, just so MeGain can have outriders & limousines everywhere she goes so she gets Presidential treatment.

The sooner she goes back to Megan Markle, not Duchess of Sussex, the better.

Futurehappiness · Today 08:33

Some of the posts on here are just shameful in the amount of hatred and vitriol against someone they have never met, never committed any crimes and never done them any harm. I can see that the years-long unrestrained media hate campaign against them, especially Meghan, has borne fruit. There are several people on here whose brains have evidently just soaked up all the hatred they have been fed, like willing wads of cotton wool.

I have no time for the monarchy, among other reasons because of all the toxicity it gives rise to. If Harry weren't a RF member nobody would question his right to return to his home country with his family. What is amusing is monarchists accusing H&M of being 'grifters' when it is apparent the RF run one of the biggest grifts in existence, in return for the absolute minimum of work. I don't think that makes them bad people (in most cases), just that the nature of the monarchy is to corrupt the people in it.

I suppose H&M think they may as well come to the UK to be hated here instead of hated where they are, it makes litle difference.

I don't understand how many seem so angry about strangers.

Well I think a lot of people are interested in the Invictus games. Celebrating our veterans and athletes in Birmingham. People in this country, whatever their background, really need to unite around being British and enjoying a sense of national pride that is accessible to everybody. We should all be proud to be British and nobody should feel excluded from that. I think H&M can be used to help with that.

I really hope they don't set themselves up as a rival court. I can't see a happy time ahead especially as they now have the much married Earl Spencer on their side who hasn't much time for Charles etc.

I don’t remember H&M launching a long, dishonest (but ultimately successful) campaign to strip millions of people of their EU citizenship rights.

Nigel Farage and his allies have severely curtailed my life plans and future prospects, as well of those of my children, whereas H&M have had no noticeable impact on my life at all.

If you tweak the tail, or try to stamp.on the tail of a lion (and it pains me to suggest that the British media is a lion) then don't be surprised if it bites you.

What are they supposed to have done that’s so bad exactly?

I am not a particular fan of any of them tbh but the country’s vitriol should be reserved for AMW surely?

And it’s quite depressing that everyone just repeats what is printed and broadcast in the right wing press and it’s somehow inconceivable that a woman with a black mother might have found some of her experiences within the RF to be bordering on racist?

And why is there such condemnation for a Californian, divorced, financially independent, mixed race, actress, who has always earned her own money, and knows her own mind, for finding joining possibly one of the most traditional and hide bound, white, elitist families and institutions in the country, a bit challenging, and why was it so bad that she made that clear? After all lots of UK born people who marry in find it challenging whether they are aristocrats or middle class gals from Berkshire.

The RF’s values are completely skewed imho!

They protect AMW for fifteen years and even pay off his accuser to the tune of £12 million bc AMW keeps quiet.

And they pretend to support a police investigation in to AMW’s alleged crimes, while according to Lownie, reminding former staff and PPOs of their NDAs and terms of their pensions so that they don’t speak to the police presumably, and BP are allegedly paying their lawyers to lean on potential witnesses so they stay quiet too.

And bc Harry and Meghan air a few possibly legitimate complaints in public about the RF eg I certainly think the press briefing complaints hold weight, they are ostracised and briefed against even more?

It’s all really bizarre if you ask me!

The RF must be laughing loudly at how easily the public are distracted away from AMW’s case while all of the attention is on H&M!

Absolutely this.

Is it being so cheerful thar keeps you going? I just can't be bothered to expend the energy hating someone I have never met and has done no harm beyond the fevered imaginations of Mail readers and Piers Morgan fans.

I'm on a news detox and one of the things I refuse to care about (either way) is Harry and Meghan. I'm a royalist btw and glad it seems the king may see his grandchildren
