To dislike the vitriol on here about their return

Just read through two different threads about their return to this country and I could feel my energy draining the more I read the comments.
There is so much vitriol and lots of snidy remarks in the comments.
Why not just leave them be, let them get on with their lives and wish them well?

You just need to avoid the threads on here. They are mainly full of fantasists who genuinely think they know what all the royals are thinking.

I love a bit of royal gossip at times but many of the the people on here are insanely invested.

I hope they’re very happy here and that Harry can make up with his brother. I was quite surprised by the news. I watched their documentary and they were both scathing about the UK and spoke about the dramatic mercy mission to escape to the US to get away from the UK, so it’s unsurprising that people are commenting on this news. Megan and Harry have both courted lots of publicity by slating the royals, so it kind of works in reverse too.

I'm a republican, so I don't really give a shit and would prefer to see the back of all of them.

But I find it amusing that so many people who are pro-royal find this objectionable. One of monarchy's biggest flaws is that the nation gets the same royal family whether they're any good or not, and it's bloody hard to get rid of them.

I find the vitriol coming from monarchists hypocritical, tbh.

I’m surprised Megan would return and expose herself and her children to this hateful and small-minded country. I think once she gets re-acquainted with it she will leave for good. She’s an American through and through, and won’t be able to acclimatise to this culture.

I've not seen the other threads but it doesn't surprise me people are getting their knickers in a twist over this.
I'm not int interested in Royal Family drama so won't be reading the threads and I will try and avoid the media hype as much as possible.
BUT I will be very much incensed and annoyed if we tax payers have to foot any of their bills and expenses.

I can’t say I’m not surprised about their return, I wonder why they chose to do this- does anyone know? The British education system? I don’t get it, they seemed much happier in the states and their DC have been raised there.

I think it’s for the education system but their lives will be made a misery by the press, especially hers. I wonder how they’ll shield their children from it. I don’t think it’s a good move really given the (unjustified) vitriol towards them. There has already been one thread removed from Mumsnet due to the horrible comments.

I agree. If people dislike them for whatever reason then fine, but honestly some of the posts about them come across as a little pathetic and parasocial.

I've seen comments about how "the whole of the UK hates them" which is so outside of reality. I think too many people are stuck in an echo chamber of reading hate threads and picking apart their every move online for entertainment.

In reality, most people live productive lives and don't spend their time obsessing about where they live, or what photo they posted on instagram, or what their body language is saying.

I don't really care one way or another about the Royal Family. I'd like to ignore Harry and Megan and wish them well, but I do wish they would stop the shameless self-promotion and Netflix series etc.

Because the Markles are No. Shit stirrers of the world. MeGain deliberately made up vile nasty lies about Kate accusing her of being racist.

Markle deliberately lied about everything & trapped the dimwit drug addled prince. She basically forced him into marriage.

She’s a spendthrift who whilst in the royal family for basically a year blew huge sums on designer clothes, beauty treatments, private jets. More than anyone in the history of the royal family.

She’s grubby: she was bitchily moaning about her lot 24/7. Accused the RF of stealing her passport. Then she blows the budget on a baby shower to New York when the royal family had “stolen” her passport. Yet every weekend she was swanning around Europe at luxury resorts. Not for her owning a cement factory in Scunthorpe. It only had to be gala events with her dripping in jewels.

The only event she seemed to do was flog her own cookbook of ripped off recipes when she visited Grenfell survivors. A total smack in the face.

She had a massive foreign jolly going to Africa where she moaned & complained the whole time she was just surviving against a crowd of Africans who were genuinely starving. The fact they waited hours in the rain was nothing to Markle.

in Australia she threw boiling water over courtiers & humiliated them, because they wouldn’t do what she wanted.

she then said she should be paid for doing tours.

She constantly quotes her mother Doria, saying don’t do anything for free.

She constantly lied about her back history.

Abandoned her dad because she didn’t want a poor fat slob as a father, despite him paying for everything for her.

The Markels have a massive turnover of staff both here and in the US, as they are tight, don’t pay their bills, treat everyone like shit & abuse people.

All their A listers have run away from them.

They’ve been sacked by everyone.

Spotify called them “fucking grifters” and a massive long rant saying they were bone idle, zero talent, ripped off other ideas, immensely stupid couple, aggressive complainers, con artists and rip off merchants.

Thats even before we get on to their immense fakery and them pretending they are the nice people in the whole world & such righteous humanitarians, eco warriors etc.

I could go on and on and on about just how vile, odious and nasty that couple are.

I remember when the queen was dying and Prince Philip was 2 weeks from death, Megain said he was “making it all up for attention”. When the queen talked about service, Markle said “everyone does service”

The fact the hard pressed British taxpayers had to pay £33m for her 3rd wedding where she was doing this ridiculous innocent virginal teenage act, instead of the divorced washed up mattress actress of a cancelled cable show, was appalling. After all that money spent, she then said she got married 3 days before, and “whatever”. The holiest man in the country then had to correct her as what she said was illegal.

I recall seeing on camera at an event, the Queen and Markle in a car and Markle actually pushing the Queen out the way as she raced towards the crowds to give autographs.

Then the pathetic curtesying to the Queen.

Harry & Megain refusing to go to a special veterans event so the pair of them could flog Markle for Disney work. Even Beyoncé was gobsmacked. Her jaw dropped in outrage.

I’m excited about it! I think we need a little boost in this country with the way things are. I think they can inject a little glamour and patriotism back into this country. Young people like them. I do too!

I am a royalist but dislike Harry...also Andrew. Why Andy it obvious. If you put a picture next to the word arrogant in the dictionary it would be him.

Harry... mainly because he expected the British people to pay for his protection when he was in the UK, despite giving up the job that earned the money to pay for. And make no mistake, the royal family generate a lot of income for the UK. Then having the audacity to take the government to court about it. Then he decides its ok to live in the UK even without that protection.

Tbh I think the people who get uber agitated about Harry and Meghan have a screw or two loose. Totally normal to dislike a particular celeb, another thing entirely to be so consumed by hatred they way lots of them are. Something lacking in their lives for them to be so focused on two absolute strangers.
