To dislike the vitriol on here about their return

Just read through two different threads about their return to this country and I could feel my energy draining the more I read the comments.
There is so much vitriol and lots of snidy remarks in the comments.
Why not just leave them be, let them get on with their lives and wish them well?

I think they're an appalling example of what too much money, privilege and entitlement does to you.

Almost as much of a disappointment as King Charles is turning out to be.

You'd think they're mass murderers the way people go on about them. And their family.

Out of all the poeple in the world who do or are bad things, the Royal Family are way down on the list.

I will be annoyed if the get taxpayer funded security while living their private lives.

I agree OP. I don’t get the fascination with Harry and Meghan nor the vitriol. I’ve never met them and aren’t likely to, so their impact on my life is negligible. But I wish them well.

I do hope to see them in the media, standing beside Will and Kate, Charles and Camilla as is their rightful place. And the children growing up together.

Because despite what the haters hope, I am sure the reported vitriol isn’t as such. Look at your own families. It can be difficult but estrangement always come with more pain than hatred.

Trump annexing Canada (Never going to happen) would not result in Canada having a US backed royal family! The US is very much a ‘no monarchy’ country!

Canada is already part of the territory that has a British Monarch….and Royal Family which Harry & Megan are a part of even if they are not ‘working royals’

Basically he didn’t come back because his Team lost World War 2, as he would have been lynched if people found out what he had done!

And it’s quite depressing that everyone just repeats what is printed and broadcast in the right wing press and it’s somehow inconceivable that a woman with a black mother might have found some of her experiences within the RF to be bordering on racist?

And why is there such condemnation for a Californian, divorced, financially independent, mixed race, actress, who has always earned her own money, and knows her own mind, for finding joining possibly one of the most traditional and hide bound, white, elitist families and institutions in the country, a bit challenging, and why was it so bad that she made that clear? After all lots of UK born people who marry in find it challenging whether they are aristocrats or middle class gals from Berkshire.

The RF’s values are completely skewed imho!

They protect AMW for fifteen years and even pay off his accuser to the tune of £12 million bc AMW keeps quiet.

And they pretend to support a police investigation in to AMW’s alleged crimes, while according to Lownie, reminding former staff and PPOs of their NDAs and terms of their pensions so that they don’t speak to the police presumably, and BP are allegedly paying their lawyers to lean on potential witnesses so they stay quiet too.

And bc Harry and Meghan air a few possibly legitimate complaints in public about the RF eg I certainly think the press briefing complaints hold weight, they are ostracised and briefed against even more?

It’s all really bizarre if you ask me!

The RF must be laughing loudly at how easily the public are distracted away from AMW’s case while all of the attention is on H&M!

I'm not from the UK so it doesn't affect me but if I was I know I would be a staunch republican. Royals all seem a waste of space to me.

They made a big song and dance about leaving, slagged off his family in a very public way, continually said it wasn’t safe here and then suddenly they make a big announcement they are coming back. Of course people are going to comment on it and if they were so negative about everything then people might react negatively about them coming back.

Maybe there should be a D notice on anything related to them now. If not reported on, it will soon not be spoken about. Media - social, print, TV, and audio are responsible for the majority of the whipping up of vitriol and comment about them.

I mean who really cares all that much. It is becoming a hysterical contagion because outlets like the Mail constantly report crap about them. Again who cares?

People are being manipulated and whipped into a frenzy about a little family and a bigger more powerful one, when the reality is they are a microcosm of a lot of families up and down the land anyway.
