Slimming world supporting weight loss injections. Aibu?

I see that slimming world is now supporting and welcoming people to groups that do weight loss injections.

I feel that this is quite misleading and unfair to participants not doing injections. I have done slimming world years ago and now do weight loss injections only. I wouldn't feel right going to a group where some aren't doing jabs.

The whole slimmer of week is based on pounds only as well, not percentages. I feel the injections give a big advantage. Also, I dont think this works for a group of people.

Also, when I see huge losses for sw being posted I wonder if its the jabs.

I feel it's gone its all quite misleading and a bit unfair on people who still go to group.

What do you think?

If you are wanting in person support and accountability though there aren’t many options.
Some councils run groups but they tend to only on referral or 8 weeks max. Gym pts are very expensive. I’ve done online pt/nutrionist 1-1 and as a group and nothing for me works like a weekly in person weigh in to keep me focused. If someone on medication thinks they’d benefit from weekly support it doesn’t affect me it’s not a competition.
If you want to weigh in weekly for accountability sw is an affordable option.
It’s probably very group dependent and even within group you gravitate to people doing it like you. I had a conversation with someone about gut health yesterday.
I’m a healthy bmi now but will always struggle with my weight. If it’s not for you fair enough. The new plan launched this year I personally think is very sensible and sustainable eg 3 healthy extras a day (mix and match fibre, calcium and healthy fat) 1/3 plate veg or salad, lean protein to your appetite. Carbs but recommend to choose wholegrain. Skyr is yoghurt of choice not muller lights…

I didn’t make it up, what would I? I was a scared and anxious mess back then, complaining and confronting wasn’t something I was able to do. I only managed to go to SW because a friend took me. I’m glad your experience of ‘consultants’ has been positive, but that doesn’t mean I’m a liar.

Apologies, I didn’t mean to imply that you were lying. But as is clear from other posts on this thread people sometimes misinterpret what is said to them.

I’m sure, as with all jobs, there are good and bad SW consultants.

I hope that you are feeling better and healthier now.
