I'm assuming that you are being facetious/comical, OP?

BillieWiper · Yesterday 13:23

I would just try and catch it in a glass or tissue and throw it outside. Or you can use spider killing spray if you want to be mean. Open all the windows and it'll probably leave of its own accord.

lightclock · Yesterday 13:24

No, I literally did this.

Burn the house down or, if you're not feeling that dramatic, flame thrower.

parallhel · Yesterday 13:24

If you are spider phobic, you can get a child, a partner, a neighbour to go in to the den of terror and let the spider out to the garden etc. That's all you can do or block up the room forever.

It's probably already in your bedroom anyway, they like to move around. So check everything thoroughly before you go to sleep. Sorry, that was cruel, but those of us who don't have phobias like this cannot understand it. I am sorry...

LumpkinPumpkin · Yesterday 13:26

Get a spider sucker upper machine if you’re really bothered.

I’d just ignore it and be glad it was probably eating some flies.

BabblingBiddy · Yesterday 13:26

Fire is the only solution I'm afraid.

FuzzyPuffling · Yesterday 13:26

You're holding it hostage. It will still be there and will be telepathically sending out for a rescue squad ( of the biggest, toughest spiders you have ever seen).

Free the Spider One.

( Also, if you really did this, it's a bonkers thing to do)

Tortephant · Yesterday 13:27

its probably already left the room.

Error404FucksNotFound · Yesterday 13:28

If you genuinely have a spider phobia can you ask someone to come round and help you?

topcat2014 · Yesterday 13:28

Seek medical attention for this phobia. There is nothing wrong with spiders. We all eat a few in our lives in our sleep.

Highlighta · Yesterday 13:28

Sigh.

What did you honestly think it was going to do to you?

Open the door and a window and let it make its way out ffs.

It's probably stuff to the gaffer tape. Poor thing. Having a phobia doesn't excuse animal cruelty, OP.

timtamsarebetterthanpenguins · Yesterday 13:32

Burn your house down. Tis the only way.

I know you just wanted to put the boot in but genuinley why would it be stuck to the gaffer tape? Presumably a normal sized room for the thing to run around in, and you think it ran straight to the tape and launched itself at it? Weird.

DeterminedRat · Yesterday 13:32

You just never know what goes on in other people's homes do you?!

youdeserveit · Yesterday 13:33

Raid spray will kill them

Alternatively I have been known to use hairspray (brilliant), deodorant (rubbish) and a sinus rinse bottle to send one down the drain

No we don't.

TheAmazingShrinkingWoman · Yesterday 13:33

We absolutely definitely do not eat any in our sleep.

You know this isn't true, don't you?

Teacup40 · Yesterday 13:34

Is there anyone you can call for help? Men in white coats with medication are your best bet 😉.
Seriously though you need to ask someone to have a look around the room for you and catch it if they find it. I very much doubt it will be there now it will have disappeared down the same crack it came from and be on its merry way.

Malasana · Yesterday 13:34

Oh bless you. I can’t deal with spiders either. They make my skin crawl. There are some really mean comments on here.
Is there someone can come and help you?

seawitchandgarden2 · Yesterday 13:35

It's a spider OP, not a dragon...

Just open the door and windows and it will make its own way out.

Guide it gently towards an exit to your garden with a broom if you can.

Rude. People can’t help having a phobia.
