AIBU to ask my friend to stop vaping at inappropriate times.

We go on holidays together and she’s always surrounded by a cloud of vape smoke. (It’s like she’s just coming through the fucking reveal door on “Stars in their Eyes”

Vaping as soon as she wakes up (in bed) We share a twin room. Plus vaping in the room generally.
Vaping whilst we are dining in restaurants in-between courses.
Vaping just every fucking where and just blowing it into my face.

It stinks. Like sickly smells such as candy floss or bubble gum.

In the room is unfair on you, you can’t escape. Of course YANBU.

It just stinks!

the other issue is that the machine does not create smoke. it comes out as smoke only AFTER it’s been inside the persons mouth and lungs.

so when it blows in your face and you smell the candy sickly sweet smell ….you know it’s been inside someone. sometimes a stranger walking by.

I vape, respectfully unlike this individual, and I have never thought of it like this. Oddly intimate and gross.

I only vape in smoking areas and my garden though so I’m only sharing air with other smokers/vapers and pigeons.

It shouldn't be. Vaping is often banned in the same places as smoking is. People flouting that doesn't mean that it's allowed to do it everywhere.

I love the smell of a Strawberry Vape ( I;ve never smoked or vaped myself) , I actually followed a bloke who was vaping just to get his 2nd Hand Vapours . (Not in a weird stalker way , just a respectable distance ) .

Now I know just how 2nd hand this is , I am quitting !

@x2boys is right. You are not ideal holiday companions or even just friends really. You dont like the stink of vaping. She is happy to continue doing so regardless of how you feel about it.
However much else you've got in common and enjoy spending time together, her vaping habit isnt compatible with your dislike of it. Its gross anyway. Spending a holiday passively breathing in someone elses toxic fumes doesnt sound like fun or at all healthy.
