AIBU to think parents chasing each other round Morrisons is odd?

I just saw a 30-something couple chasing each other around Morrisons whilst their young kids stood watching and giggling. AIBU to think this is mad?

I imagine so. But I'm going to call it 'the dead and dying shelf' from now on!

When my DDs were little, my Dsis and I used to line IKEA shopping carts with loads of cushions and play chicken with them down the huge warehouse aisles 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ shopping is dull and my DDs loved it …

I mean me and DH are often silly/playful in front of our kids. Probably wouldn’t chase him round Morrisons because 1) we shop at Lidl and 2) he’s much faster than me so I’d look like a right mug. As long as they’re not knocking shit over or getting in the way it’s fine, I think it’s nice to see people having fun.

A couple, having fun…. Flirting with each other? Smiling? Oh no, what will we do…. Did you let security know that people are happy inside the store or did you let them know the rules of misery yourself? 😂 do remember about the fines for laughing nowadays

Wild isn't it that if someone says they are bemused or puzzled about something or find it odd, the conclusion is that they're completely thoroughly and totally miserable about everything? 😅😅😅

It is annoying enough when kids engage in tomfoolery in the supermarket, running about, gliding around on those stupid heelys, damaging stock and terrorizing staff and other shoppers. For supposedly mature adults to be doing it is simply beyond the pale. People need to grow up and accept the responsibilities of adult life.

The clue is in there …… it’s a supermarket! You know, that place you go in and out of as quickly as you can to get your shopping?

I wouldn't be chasing around a supermarket because we'd get in people's way, but we certainly lark about (because, despite getting on a bit, we're incredibly immature and proud of it!). Unless they're tripping you up or barging into it, I'd probably laugh at them

Well DH & I often shimmy around the isles to the ludicrous music and we are also known to sing along to the chorus of the appalling shop advert. It’s not a particularly busy supermarket though as we wouldn’t want to get in other people’s way. It’s just having fun as you get a boring job done.

British or Balearic?

We are in South East Asia so lots of the shopping is done in small specialist shops. The best music is in the small Italian deli in the market, think Dancing Queen, Night Fever, It’s raining me etc. Everyone is smiling and singing along there.

Exam season is over for now. Maybe they’re invigilators keeping their hand in?
