Not only the second thread of course, but maybe with them filling so fast it is time to start numbering them?

We are all losers in modern Britain my friend but that is for another thread.

I think i know quite a lot about the subject but obviously not everything, i watch youtube and not the government tv channels which have been shameful. You will know which people i like to listen to on there they know their stuff and can explain for the rest of us that find it all a bit confusing at times.

Who are the actual serious people you speak of ?
The biased judge, the crazy welshman, the hopeless coppers like Hughes, the journos that celebrated the verdict but no longer cover the story ?

The government absolutely care what the people think and the support this innocent young woman has makes covering it up pretty much impossible, she is coming home you just have to deal with it.

It's not a confusing case. You've been duped by the people feeding you innocence propaganda.

Yeah sure, everyone involved in getting justice is useless/evil etc. boy that's a lot of people that have to be useless at their job and/or villains to make this one woman be innocent.

Lol sure. Even if she did manage to get out on a technicality (which I seriously doubt) it'll be years before that happens. I won't get the party poppers out yet.

Well they're wrong aren't they, and terrible judges of character. You do know hoards of people came out in support of Harold Shipman at first? Some of whom had lost more than one family member to him?

Who of her own colleagues has come out in support of her except that Janet woman who didn't even work closely with her? The way she threw others under the bus as being less experienced than her I seriously doubt anyone she worked with has supported her.

Have you forgotten that colleagues who did want to support her were told it would be bad for their careers?

Chief Constable Mark Roberts said:

I had hoped to take the force through to 2028, but the decision has been made to take the force in a different direction

He was pushed then. Oh dear, what a shame.

Karen Rees and Veronika Jiraskova at least; lots of others have said they had no concerns at the time, and we don't know what they think now.

Lucy Letby certainly mentioned others like Sophie Ellis and Ashleigh Hudson as being less experienced than she was when it was relevant to her testimony. Both of them also testified to being willing to hand responsibilities to her for the same reason. I don't see any throwing under the bus in this. It's an objective fact that the guidelines in place during the indictment period meant that only two of the unit's level 5 nurses were qualified to give ICU care unsupervised, and it's clear that Chester violated these guidelines frequently.

Well it is confusing for everyone that says she is guilty cos they have no idea how she done it and just focus on her going to work all the time.

Everything about the case is falling apart i knew it was a MOJ when i watched Operation Humdinger and seen the behaviour of the cops. It was unbelievable how biased they were there was no interest in a proper investigation just confirmation bias, some woman even decided being normal is evidence of guilt.

No need for techicality she is walking, someone asked when id say before Xmas to be with family hopefully not the last time as parents are old and my god what they have been through is horrific.

TBH i have seen your posts and comments to others and it just seems like you are totally deluded and cannot handle how wrong you got this. You are not part of the investigation or important you sound like a total blowhard.

Every time I check out that video I am amazed it's still up. It exposes so many problems with the case. I wonder if it will last long once the police force comes under new management ...

It is incredible how bad it is but in an odd way it did actually help Lucy same with the Netflix propaganda film where her mum screams and they decide to bounce into her bedroom first thing in the morning.

I cannot believe they put it online and as far as i know it is still there. They are all dressed up for a night out but offer very little comment on the case or speak about what she actually done. Just high 5s and talk about how wonderful it worked out it was so bad absolutely shocking really.

Iamateadrinker · 10/08/2026 22:42

@Firefly1987
You do realise that calling someone " a loser" is a childish thing to do?
To me this case is not about an individual only ( although if she is innocent I have enormous sympathy for her and her family)
It's about making sure that these precious babies deaths are investigated properly and that if there were faults on the unit and at the trial it can never happen again.
This is absolutely necessary for our society.
So please don't resort to inane insults.
I respect your point of view ( until you insult me) please can you do the same to people with opposing views?

I just laugh at these sorts of comments where the poster might as well be talking about themselves but seems to have no idea.

It's not me being self-important thinking I know better than everyone who was part of the investigation and court case. You think Joe Nobody on youtube knows more than the police it's absolutely laughable. And your comments about out before Christmas make me think you're not being serious.

You laugh away

I think some of the guys on youtube are fantastic they really know their stuff and can explain everything, they could help you to have a better understanding if you decide to listen to another opinion and have a night off.

I also think the Cheshire Police made some mess of this, some of them are seriously thick and in the wrong job. And that is being polite.

How can you count Karen Rees? The manager who wouldn't remove her from the unit and is desperately trying to save her own skin is supporting her. Wow big shock. She didn't work WITH her on the unit as a nurse. Who is the other one?

The babies were all fine in Sophie Ellis and Ashleigh Hudson's care. And she did literally blame one or two nurses saying they could've harmed the baby-Mel I think was one of them although I can't remember what she said.

Have you read my latest post?
I'm interested in your response
I want justice for the victims in this case - the babies, the parents, the accused - when the case against her is so flawed,- what is your response to that?

She said that it was Mel Taylor who gave fluids to baby A, so that if there has been a (presumably) accidental air embolism at that point, it would have been administered by Baby A. What would you expect her to say in these circumstances?

One reason I can count Karen Rees because showing remorse and recognising your error is counted in your favour if you are convicted of gross negligence homicide, so she is actually doing the exact opposite of saving her skin. (I doubt she is senior enough to be in line for this anyway)

Veronika Jiraskova was a trainee doctor who worked alongside Lucy Letby on the ward during the indictment period

Firefly1987 · 11/08/2026 00:12

@Iamateadrinker for what? I didn't call you personally a loser it's not an insult. Someone on reddit made an analogy about football and how the losers are the ones that question all the ref decisions. They made a good point.

I thought there were NO air embolisms?

What error has she recognised exactly? If she's still supporting Letby, a convicted serial killer how does this count in her favour against gross negligence charges?

I don't recall the name at all. She must not have been there much!

There's certainly no proof of air embolisms, but of course Lucy Letby was accused of inflicting them at the trial.

My point about Karen Rees is that she doesn't accept she made an error. If she were trying to save her skin, she should.

I've no information of Dr Jiroskova's working hours either!

I just thought it was funny. From my deep study of a handful of world cup games, footballers never stop moaning, whatever side they are on. And of course they don't know if they are on the winning or losing side until the last minute

Not quite following the football point then again i am not a fan the WC was boring.

Refs can be biased too and just cos someone complains about his performances that does not mean that player/manager/fan does not have a point. It is a similar situation right enough where someone makes a decision and there is not much you can do even if everyone knows it is clearly wrong.

I guess folk that are too emotional and lapped up Evans tales also believe the international panel are all losers ?
