Favourite part of the UK for natural beauty?

Pembrokeshire, the Peak District and the Channel Islands are my favourite spots. Looking to branch out. What are your fave spots in the UK for natural beauty. Really thinking about doing an extended “tour” later in the Summer.

Recently visited Northumberland and it is stunning

Really unspoilt

The Gower peninsula is worth a visit.

West Coast of Scotland.

Absolutely Cornwall. The beaches have spoilt me.

The Yorkshire dales

Cornwall- I'm biased as I live there. South East Cornwall is often missed and is extraordinarily beautiful. Polperro, Fowey, Kingssnd and Cawsand for example. The walk to Lansallos beach stops your breath it's so gorgeous and you end up on a quiet beach with amazing swimming. St Ives is very busy but the beaches really are out of this world.

Other than that The Lake District, Highlands of Scotland are my favourites.

Hyde Park?

For me, it is the Scottish islands. Also, certain parts of North Wales, the Lake District, and Yorkshire.

The Scottish Highlands and islands (luckily BIL lives on Mull); North Cornwall; Pembrokeshire.
Avon Gorge is naturally pretty, especially in the autumn, but it's in the middle of Bristol.

If you'd found somewhere beautiful and unspoilt would you list it on a public forum? Do you want hordes of influencers queuing up to take selfies?

The Lizard (Cornwall). It’s magical. A lot of Cornwall is beautiful but the Lizard is other worldly.

Forest of Dean/Wye Valley

North west coast of Scotland- that part of the NC500 route is spectacular. The Hebrides. Glencoe area- but more to drive through than stay in .
Northumberland is lovely in a different way.

Depending on how far you're prepared to travel @Gallep, Caithness (far northeast) and its environs, spectacular Duncansby head

I have this exact same thought about an island I discovered in 2018. Amazingly, the influencers haven’t got to it yet. I guard the secret with my life!

Another place I visited around the same time and absolutely loved was unfortunately discovered, and when I returned in 2022 it had completely changed 😭

The Lake District, Dartmoor, Northumbria, a few parts of Cornwall the crowds haven’t got to yet

I don’t think many places in the UK are “unspoilt” or undiscovered

I’m loving the idea that ‘hordes of influencers’ hang out on Mumsnet, in about 20 years on here I’ve not met one 😂

they are routinely disparaged on here, no one’s going to own up to being one of those cleaning women or dog tokkers

The north coast of Northern Ireland, Glens of Antrim, beaches. It’s stunning and not full of tourists.

I love the Brecon Beacons and North Wales.

We are visiting the Cotswolds soon which I am hoping will be as pretty as I am imagining.

It depends what you're looking for.

The Lakes are majestic, I think eastern Leicestershire where I grew up is the idyllic quintessential English green rolling countryside and it still holds my heart, Devon is similar but with the added bonus of beautiful coasts and moors.

The Scilly Isles would probably have to be my favourite though. And as a bonus they are rarely crowded and you can always find a deserted white sandy beach even in the peak of August. They never are crowded because there's simply no way of getting people there en-masse. One ferry and a little airport for 12-seaters.
