Has anyone noticed a lot of the summer camps for poor children are in expensive villages miles away from where a lot of poor kids actually live?

The strange thing about the Haf programme in my (not small) town is that the majority of the summer camps are in more expensive villages that are a few miles from here.
Seems strange when most children eligible for Haf have parents who cannot drive and it’s unlikely many children in said expensive villages are eligible.

The OP used it. It's not a description I personally would use. I was criticising her for using it.
However she's fine with it though (because that's how she would describe her family) so I apologised to her.

I think the words you are looking for are 'very low income'. It isn't just for those people though. My son is a young carer as his younger brother has complex needs. He has been awful these last few weeks and really disregulated, screaming etc. My eldest hasn't got a look in attention-wise and has been basically lying around the house bored and seems really down. I'm looking into this for him as a young carer now as he isn't getting much interaction and I think it is affecting him. We are really limited by our youngest.

Kids in care, under child protection or child in need (severe disabilities) also qualify, as well as children with additional needs. It isn't just for 'poor' children and it doesn't always cover the entire holiday. You sign up for sessions in my LA.
