To hate sand?

It gets into every crevice.
It sticks to everything.
It stubbornly refuses to be rinsed off.
It reappears months after you've been to the beach.

As a person who spent many years in her childhood living in Brighton, I would have killed for a bit of sand! So yeah, unreasonable, ha.

Agree. We’ve just come back from a resort in Croatia , stony beach - beach shoes needed to get in the sea but would take that over sand. Our hotel room was a lot cleaner as a result, bet the cleaning staff like it as well.

We are in The Algarve.
It's stunningly beautiful but I've just seen a little child get sand in their eyes, then instinctively go to rub them, cue tears!

I do like building sandcastles though!

It does depend on the sand, but I agree with the sentiment.

A good tip is to apply talc to sandy feet to remove a large amount of it . Also to hands to prevent eye wiping . But at least it is Algarve sand .

Having said that I have just seen the state of the bathroom after DS swam in the sea last night. Must’ve had sand in every crevice!

Hard agree. I also hate anything over 24°. Beaches are hell!

Ha! I’m ok with sand but my kids are sand haters. Beaches are too hot and too sandy apparently. Pools are preferred.

Lol - our cars, bathrooms and laundry bins are always full of sand. In fact my 18 yr old DD is probably at least 20% sand herself because when she was a baby she used to eat big handfuls of the stuff and we went to the beach a lot 😂.

I love the feeling of walking on sand and find pebbly beaches very hard going so it's just as well we have so many lovely sandy beaches on our doorstep.

I grew up near a quiet, pebbly beach/some sand and it is one of my favourite things. I can still remember the feeling of sand in my little jelly sandals after we had been to the beach. And the sand all over the floor of the public toilets at the beach. I still love that.

Never copulate on sand.

Hmm. I’ve tried adding close ups of sand but no joy.

I used to not mind it but now I can't stand the stuff. It must be the peri menopause making my tolerance levels very low! I'd much rather have a sun lounger by a pool far away from the beach.

My little girls used to get sandy fanny ... a bit of a cleaning challenge!

And I caught one eating sand ... the resulting nappy was ..... interesting

yes literally and also between the toes. I once got athletes foot as a result of the sandpaper effect from sand between my toes.

Can't stand it. I really, really hate sand. The feeling of it urgggghhhh
