I am not here to have a go at her per se but the bile her fans spew at Catherine and her children is just awful. Faked her cancer is the lowest of the low.
Whatever you think of the royals, Catherine isn’t Royal by birth and is pretty inoffensive, learned the ropes, is great in her role and doesn’t seem to make much of a fuss.
But the things I have seen written about her have been persistently rank by the so-called Sussex Squad.
I know that Meghan hasn’t always had an easy time of it in terms of the press/media, and to be quite frank I don’t think she had a clue what she was letting herself in for in terms of her role and what was expected of her. Some of the headlines were uncalled for and the Compton one was so insulting I don’t know how it was allowed.
I made a comment under a glossy magazine account recently, just a pic of Catherine saying how elegant she looked, and the reply came quickly that I hadn’t mentioned Meghan. And when I pointed out the post was about the Princess I got called a white, racist middle class old bitch. I had not said a single word about the Duchess.
I hope the King does make some form of peace with them before he dies. Because a bit of peace in the whole scenario would help.
And maybe her fans would back off a bit.

Surely it's not the celebrity per se it's the mindset of the sorts of people who become superfans?

I'm all for supportng an artist you love but the whole concept of a superfan is inherently childish and a bit unbalanced in my book. Anyone over the age of about 20 who devotes that much time, money and emotional attention to a person they don't know has some sort of emotional deficit.

Most male kpop groups have some right lunatics for fans. Stray kids and seventeen are ones that come to mind.

Is that kpop? I’ve heard some of those fans are quite insane. (I like a bit of kpop here and there as a casual listener).

I don't think it would be accurate to say that modern pagan religions - Wicca, Druidry, reconstructed Celtic, Hellenic, Egyptian pagan religions, etc - have the most toxic fanbase.

Have you any examples of these particular pagan religions being known for having a toxic fanbase overall?

They operate on X and IG, wishing cancer on anyone who has a critical word to say about MM.. at the same time accusing The PoW of faking her own cancer and so it goes on.
They are repellant, clearly reflecting the character and methods of their leader.
They are universally uneducated, American and wholly ignorant about Britain/The Royal Family, and British people.
Never seen anything so loathsome on social media.

It is interesting to me all the people saying Swifties. I remember all of the news stories with the quiet peaceful queues into the stadiums for her Eras Tour compared to the football violence in other towns, for example. People making people they never met friendship bracelets compared to men killing their wives because their team lost... I don't think I ever heard a Swiftie killed someone over something minor because they were a fan of Taylor. Football and sports clearly worse from what I can see.
