AIBU to feel sorry for Harper? If BB has an issue with his parents it shouldn’t mean that he also stops talking to his siblings. It’s equally as sad if the parents did choreographed the letter/visit.

Brooklyn Beckham accuses parents of using Harper for 'choreographed' house visit

Harper Beckham was spotted making a failed attempt to reunite with her brother Brooklyn, with a spokesperson dismissing the visit as another stunt from 'brand Beckham'

The parents are responsible for all of this, another publicity stunt. Using their new pawn Harper in her signature silk night dress. Poor child.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 17/06/2026 14:16

not one of the 3 boys went to uni

Brooklyn got into Parsons, an American uni - he didn’t last long I grant you but he went.

Kbcdtyijgd · 17/06/2026 17:09

Didn’t Cruz and Romeo go to Millfield ?
Harper’s school isn’t hard to work out, they’ve always published pics of their kids in uniform

dayswithaY · 17/06/2026 17:11

It is very odd and quite sad that Romeo and Cruz are still following their parents round the world, clapping along to their latest achievements.

They’re in their twenties, shouldn’t it be the other way round now - them making their own way and their parents turning up to congratulate them.

But no, it’s still the David and Victoria show - David opens a new stadium, Victoria has another fashion show and the “good children” turn out to show support.

Will they still be doing this in their forties? What a pointless existence.

It would have done them the world of good to escape to Uni for a few years in the real world.

Letsgetreadytorhumble · 17/06/2026 20:11

They have seen whats happened to their brother and do not want to be the next target if they dare stop towing the line.

They may not see it.

Sometimes in such a dysfunctional dynamic you don’t see it until you are out of it and even then it can take years of therapy to understand.

The behaviour can be so underhand and hidden in a way that only the victim finally understands one day, if ever. It’s so
manipulative that it can only be actioned with flying monkeys and enablers who are (mostly) innocently coerced, and so brainwashed its like a cult.

I got out a decade ago, in my 40s, am NC with all family of origin, still receiving toxic communication despite 7 housemoves and an official namechange. Like previously said, unless experienced, there are no words in the dictionary to describe it.

Their reaction and media smear campaign they have launched against Brooklyn due to his really innocuous tv advert is absolutely insane. Its hard to imagine the sort of parents that try and pressure you into signing away the rights to your name because you are getting married. I bet what Brooklyn has already revealed is only the tip of the iceberg. Really hope he does an interview or releases a book to shut them up for good. They're like a cult, their sons are adult men still totally reliant on them following them around the world to pose dutifully wherever they go. Its so weird.

They really are briefing against him, aren’t they? Makes you wonder what they have to hide… Tip of the iceberg, like you say!

BeardySchnauzer · 18/06/2026 07:16

I see the full ad is out and it’s a bit dull! Just a give away of tickets. Honestly if they’re going to get their knickers in a twist about that they really have lost control

VB is always so desperate to be seen as funny and self deprecating - clearly not

Yup!

I think if there were doubts before there aren't now!

Excellent post.

It's a pity the honours system isn't transparent. I'd be interested to know who nominated Beckham for his knighthood. Especially after his outburst and Qatar shenanigans (he was old enough to know better by that point).

Letsgetreadytorhumble · 18/06/2026 08:18

I am still living through it unfortunately myself and while one of my siblings sees it the other doesnt fully and shes still trying to make excuses but won't go against that parent as has seen first hand how vindictive it got for me when I refused to tow the line so it could be they have seen and heard things and will want also to be on side with the parents over the brother so they are not treated worse but then I guess they could also have different 'roles' within the organisation. I almost said family but we know its more like mental mafia than that. Sorry you have gone through it too. It is soul destroying.

Letsgetreadytorhumble · 18/06/2026 08:26

I just watched the rest of the advert and honestly if it were just a doordash ad with anyone else in it it would just be exactly that - an add for doordash cashing in on deliveries for the world cup however if you have something to hide you will always think someone is out to get you so the world is going insane thinking BB is being nasty to his parents and well maybe there was something underlying or maybe it was just a bloody ad for doordash and the world cup and he is endorsing it.

Also the word feud drives me insane as it is what my 'family' use about me and my mother but it is not a feud it is and has been always me defending myself against her lies. That is not a feud as I never should have been lied about to begin with but dysfunctional families never see it that way it is always your reaction to their abuse seems to be the problem.

BeardySchnauzer · 18/06/2026 08:29

I imagine the other boys are financially dependent on their parents to the extent they can’t try to forge their own careers and lives tbh

golden handcuffs

Absolutely. He's only done an advert, like David has done tons of adverts.
I feel like they're really burning their bridges with him and there's no way back now.
He's already shown that he can speak out, by releasing that long statement which contained pretty damning details. They ought to be shitting it as I bet he could release more like that!

BeardySchnauzer · 18/06/2026 09:00

I don’t think he should say anything else because they will just go out to destroy him

his best revenge will be living a happy life and giving them no attention whatsoever

diddl · 18/06/2026 09:10

It would be great if they all kept quiet now.

Perhaps with the Harper thing he should have said he would have loved to have seen her but he wasn't there instead of the accusations?

I guess he's determined to get his side across though.

BeardySchnauzer · 18/06/2026 09:13

I don’t think VD know how to stay quiet - unfortunately!!!

Exactly, and as a pp said the whole thing is like a cult. Don’t cults prevent members from leaving by making them financially dependent?!? Agree with those who say it’s so weird and actually sad to see young men their 20s trailing after mum and dad like this. Will they still be doing it in their 40s?! I think to an extent people sort of accept the possd family photo shoots as it’s what they always did, but when you stop and think for a moment and realise the ‘boys’ are grown men now, it’s creepy.

TheRealMagic · 18/06/2026 09:55

PrimaniTu · 17/06/2026 13:50

Funnily enough I was thinking along these lines about the Beckham’s kids’ education.

Yes they sent them to expensive schools but I get the feeling that education wasn’t strongly encouraged as they didn’t want them being more educated than them as that would make them start questioning their role within the brand and having a lightbulb moment.

Again with their expensive schooling - I can’t understand how not one of the 3 boys went to uni. You would have thought D & V would be proud as punch to have university educated children.

It’s actually feel sorry for Romeo within that family. He doesn't seem to have a role. He’s classic middle child and talent wise seems washed up by his mid 20s - traipsing across the world following his parents whilst they’re collecting their accolades and him cheering from the side like a performing seal. Is that his life?

Oh well at least he’s rich!

But there's so much chatter in general about whether or not university pays off, and lots of 'normal' kids think they'd be better off becoming influencers... I'm not surprised that it's not an obvious or attractive route to kids who have been raised as they have, and who can so easily choose to be famous for being famous.

Twatalert · 18/06/2026 10:15

Whether or not these kids are academic and go to uni - what does it really matter. The Beckhams have failed to meet their childrens needs. One need would have been to explore what they enjoy and are good at as opposed to dragging them around the world. If one wanted to work as an electrician or in a supermarket so what. It would not have been a failure. But I guess they haven't been able to find out what interests they have beyond instagram and skin care.

BeardySchnauzer · 18/06/2026 10:18

If VD were really interested in the brand they would be focussing on making the kids independent and having a career that they then go to and support

are we going to have an 80 year old Beckham opening a supermarket with his 50 year old kids coming along to while posh is all over him ? They need to do some succession planning!!

To be fair, it does sound as if Cruz has some had some musicality fostered.

Their reaction is due their lack of control on the situation.
