To think well done to Neil Sands and Donna Sands for taking their case to get Tattle Life shut down to the court of appeal.

I really admire Neil Sands and Donna Sands, they have all the money in the world and continue to fight on to make the internet a safer place. The Lady Chief Justice has seen that they have strong grounds to appeal.

I don’t know, there’s loads of shitty places on the internet - one closes, one pops up. I’ve looked at Tattle Life, mainly to see why everyone on here wants codes to join. It seems no worse or better then loads of other places people gossip.
so I don’t know, but glad you’re happy about it.

GloomyWednesday · 01/06/2026 13:16

Hahahahaha! The Sands are a duplicitous pair who lied through their teeth re serving court papers.

The things that were said about them on Tattle were comments about his dodgy dealings and mainly concern about her.

I suggest you do some research into it all.

NameChangeScot · 01/06/2026 13:19

It's a dangerous step towards the erosion of free speech.

Tattle calls out some unscrupulous behaviour, grifters, scammers and child exploiters. One of the rules is 'keep it on tattle' so outright trolling and harassment isn't encouraged!

Like any online community they'll be bad eggs, but you can't just ban a whole site because you don't like what some people say on there. There's far worse content out there.

Mumsnet is hardly a hotbed of being kind to each other.

MyMonthlyNameChange · 01/06/2026 13:21

I'm on TattleLife and have been for ages. I signed up when all the mummy influencer stuff kicked off and they all started eating each other. They'd all been stealth marketing to vulnerable new mothers with content rammed full of undeclared ads. It was so unethical and I'm glad Tattle was able to highlight it for the racket that it was. That's why so many influencers hate it. Because it showed them all up as grifters.

I've seen some absolutely loopy stuff on there for sure. Some of the reality TV threads can get a bit strange. But it's not a 'trolling' site. Trolling is when you actively target an individual online. It's a site where people talk shit about well-known people behind their backs. Is it particularly classy? No. But it's entirely avoidable if you don't like it. Unlike the influencers, who brute force their way into your algorithms with their stealth marketing tactics.

RoseField1 · 01/06/2026 13:22

Hi Jess 😄

KoalaSquid · 01/06/2026 13:23

They’re only bothered about shutting down Tattle because people were saying things they didn’t like about them. They don’t give a toss about actual internet safety or else they’d be doing other things. Tattle isn’t making the internet unsafe. I’ve never seen anyone posting threats on Tattle. If people are threatening them with harm, that’s an issue for the police.

It’s just gossip. Is it nice? No. Is it a danger to anything other than the egos of the influencers involved? Also no.

Hi Jess 😄

Ha! Got to be! Either that or Donna or Neil themselves.

Allseeingallknowing · 01/06/2026 13:25

It appears to be a vile, poisonous forum, especially on families( see the Radfords thread!) and celebs !

icybreeze · 01/06/2026 13:25

For as long as we have "influencers" who use smoke and mirrors and some cases unabashed lying to get followers /go fund me donations /patreon subscribers etc we are always going to find people gathering in internet forums to discuss the obvious anomalies /falsehoods etc

If people don't want to be dissected they can choose to keep their lives private

massivestress · 01/06/2026 13:26

@MyMonthlyNameChange things like the advertising sound like a positive, a bit like the Salt Path stuff maybe? (Where there’s been questions over the integrity of the story). I’m thinking of things like what people look like or speculating about stuff.

icybreeze · 01/06/2026 13:26

( i dont use tattle as it's not really my cup of tea , but if people are going to become an "influencer" then they can't pick and choose what types of views people hold about them)

massivestress · 01/06/2026 13:28

To be fair actually I’ve definitely commented on royal family threads about not wanting a RF (on here). So I guess having that kind of outlet is something I think should continue.

Martymcfly24 · 01/06/2026 13:29

Op it is complete hypocrisy to post this on mumsnet about "making the Internet a safer place" after reading the thread absolutely slating Tom Hardy on here.

WhatHappenedToYourFurnitureCuz · 01/06/2026 13:32

Are you getting any psychological help for your obsession?

Yes, similar sort of thing.

On the family influencer topic, Tattle has also been really good at highlighting concerns around using children to advertise. And all the obvious safeguarding concerns about putting every detail of your childrens' lives into the public domain just to flog a clothing brand or whatever.

A PP upthread mentioned the Radfords, but they fully deserve calling out in that regard as far as I'm concerned.

Iaeve · 01/06/2026 13:47

I’m a fan of Tattle. It’s a great space to vent about influencers who are full of shite.

LouH1981 · 01/06/2026 13:57

I thought it was long gone! Shows how much I know.
The irony is that I only found out Tattle Life existed through certain influencers (who wanted it removed) moaning about it.
I do wonder how much it actually played in to their hands in terms of increasing views / interactions.

TotalBaloney · 01/06/2026 14:00

Are they the ones (along with their lawyer) who were found to have engaged in unethical and dishonest behaviour when taking the owner of Tattle to court in the first place? I read about it a couple of weeks ago.

This. I was reading tattle before I ever stepped foot on Instagram. Almost every influencer and guru is full of shite.
The blatant exploitation of children and teens is appalling.

Yes these threads reappear at intervals, clearly from people who have something at stake. They do seem to have a bit of a Streisand effect though 😁

Hi Jess 😄

Was just coming on to wave hi too 👋

Wre · 01/06/2026 14:07

Good news for you Jess! When it closes you might have to find another obsession topic, any thoughts?

WorthySloth · 01/06/2026 14:10

Love tattle. No CSA images pop up on there tbh. It’s properly moderated and is a far kinder place to go for advice and sympathy than here.

TrampleOnTheRoses · 01/06/2026 14:21

In my view Tattle have done some sterling work exposing grifters like Jack Monroe and Jessica Taylor and documenting their manipulative techniques and it’s really important that there are sites to hold such people to account.

I haven't read the JT threads but the JM threads were excellent. She was quite an astonishingly shameless grifter
