AIBU to love this page? I’ve been ugly laughing over this one all day. I don’t even know why, I just think it does a really good job of highlighting the absurdity of how men treat us and how ludicrous it would seem in reverse

(no, I don’t run the page!)

@TheyGrewUp - we can do everything and have babies.

Nail on the head for the majority of women doing everything and having babies, not having it all but doing it all!

When they don’t commit the overwhelming majority of violent and sexual crime, and so 50% of domestic labour and child care, we will stop ‘slagging them off’ Smile

If you can relate to it, you’re part of the problem by enabling it.

Find yourself a man who is a hard worker, a wonderful father and who’s non violent. It’s not difficult.

Why are you laughing?
Why do you think it's ludicrous in reverse?
DH never treated me like that, he paid the nanny.
I know families where the DH has given up work when the DW made partner/CEO.

Most women I know aren't treated badly by their partners. They're too smart.

“Most women I know aren't treated badly by their partners. They're too smart.”

You can be as intelligent as possible and still be abused. What an absolute dickhead thing to say.

You sound insufferable.

Why?

Please do explain.

but you’re apparently not smart enough to know that even very smart women are the victims of abuse.

Your comment is about the most stupid I’ve read for a while

Because you’re trying to sound like a woman who really has her shit together, putting those doormats in their place, but actually you sound like you have zero self awareness and no grasp on this as a wider issue outside of half term childcare.

Thanks. Read the words. I said most.

It’s fantastic. I follow it too. The comments are always awesome too.

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 24/05/2026 19:34

I’ve never heard of a man going into a car showroom, and the salespeople focussing on his wife.

Sexism exists and is ingrained in society regardless of individual choices and circumstances. This page points it out and laughs at it.

DH tracks the bills and can tell you what we’re paying per unit for electricity, which I can’t. He’s never known the DC’s shoe size though, and would need reminding about intolerances and suncream.

My DH was a high earning lawyer and he not only knew when his kids had half term would have suggested a couple things we could do.

Wow that’s amazing!

Fuck me, when are we going to get the 🤣 reaction??
I've not seen it but will be having a 👀

Except actually it really fucking is, the world isn't full of these wonderful men and to make out it is actually makes you sound like an utter twat to put it bluntly.

Have you seen Ladies First on Netflix? Its a 90 min film where a horrible alpha male gets transported to an alternate world where women are on top. Its very Life on Mars . Worth a watch.

We watched it yesterday. Somewhat cliched but quite funny nonetheless

You said 'they're too smart'. If you didn't mean that women who are in this situation are not 'smart', what exactly did you mean?

For the hard of thinking

Man who has it all
horsesanddogs · 25/05/2026 14:30

Oh, I think it's really funny. And also quite horrifying in terms of how real it is (the other way around). I watched Ladies First the other night on Netflix, that was in a very similar vein. And actually, a while ago I read a book called It's a (wo)man's world, same thing, but darker. All shining a light on an unequal society I suppose?
