feel everything is just getting worse since covid

Im on a good salary of 32k live alone entitled to no benefits and lucky enough I can afford to put heating on in winter but have to be careful

crime everywhere with lenient punishment or sometimes no punishment at all
everyone seems entitled angry or depressed and no one seems to care about following the law
clear resentment and disagreement in country people on social media saying vote green or vote reform and if you dont you are terrible
divided country especially with brexit when inflation being caused by covid and the war brexit hasnt changed much
stagnant salaries if you can even get a job at all
everything expensive
people on great salaries of 100k+ moaning about the tax they pay because they are bad with managing their money even though they are on over double average salary when people like myself manage on much less
massive wealth inequality
NHS and public services run down
terrible government both tories and labour

What a silly statement, I am just meaning people with numerous children won’t be as well off as you think someone should be when earning double what you are. And who do you think will pay your pension and be carers when you are old?

@Harry12345 I disagree. You could have had less children which would have made your expenses less.

Although tbh I recon it's you being bad with managing your money if you're struggling on 6k a month

On a salary of £63000, take home pay is less than £4000 per month. People probably did budget but would not have anticipated a massive cost of living increase. Raising children is expensive and clubs, petrol, food have increased.

The signs started around Covid. The rot started in 1997 when Labour came to power. You can trace everything that is wrong with this country back to that time.

Hollowing out of the economy
Breakdown of independent institutions and giving power away so nothing gets done in this country
Mass immigration
Selling off the gold
Massive welfare bill and rolling business on to cheap labour.

It’s just that everything that followed just followed the same pattern. And Covid was just a time for the corrupt government and civil servants to openly steal from the public.

@Harry12345 I thought you were on like 100k but you're still on a lot of money

I don't have any older relatives. I live in London.

So you and your family are just those that live in your house? That's a very narrow point of reference.

@TheGreatDownandOut your choice for having 2 kids, and tbh I fail to believe you're still struggling on 6k unless youve made bad financial choices

bad with money

I don’t have two kids in nursery, I was using this as a hypothetical situation. But nice assumption to make there - I have one school aged child and live in a cheap house and own my own car as a matter of fact.

I am just pointing out that your blanket statement that anyone earning over £100k, no matter their circumstances or where they are in the country, must be really comfortable unless they are bad with money.

@TheGreatDownandOut

Nah hard disagree unless you're living expensive locations like London etc.

I mean I literally said “where they are in the country”

Davros · Yesterday 14:00

“Expensive locations like London” is a bit crass. There’s huge variation in prices across London although, I agree, overall usually more expensive than areas outside London
