I have recently turned 36 and feel like I am starting to lose my looks.

out of curiosity what age did you feel you looked your best?

35, when I met my husband as I felt my most confident. I see people from high school around and think my god they’ve really aged and in my delusional head I think I still look the same, then realisation hits that I’ve aged and they’re probably looking at me saying exactly the same thing 😲

VivaciousCurrentBun · 22/05/2026 18:56

Late teen years and then around 45 to 55.

gabsdot45 · 22/05/2026 18:56

Looking back I was so pretty in my early 20s and I had no idea.

Havesomefaith · 22/05/2026 19:10

My body was at its best at 38, always regret not taking care of it sooner so the face got the benefit

WorthyOpalZebra · 22/05/2026 19:11

Looking back at photos, it was my early to mid 40s. I'd got enough disposable income to pay for decent haircuts and a bit of skin care, found my stride career wise and was generally more comfortable in my own skin. I'm in my early 50s now and very aware that the years are gathering pace and aren't going to be kind - but I don't mind because I've got a nice life and daughters who are far more beautiful than I ever was.

Been thinking this lately! I think I must be seeing through the magic mirror 😁

28-34 I was strong, active, no wrinkles or Grays, had loads of energy, working, had a great social life, DINKS, then I had a baby and it all went down hill!

caringcarer · 22/05/2026 19:17

Late teens to late twenties. Those were the days. I had so much bloody energy too.

PermanentTemporary · 22/05/2026 19:18

21 when I was in serious training. But I was extremely broke so mostly wearing enormous free T-shirts from sponsors of the team.

Briefly between each husband. Sorry guys.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 22/05/2026 19:18

20s to 30s, I’m 47 now and things have gone down hill a bit 🙈😂

ShorterMumma · 22/05/2026 19:18

Late 20s/early 30s.

Instructions · 22/05/2026 19:18

Early 20s, pre children

828Pax · 22/05/2026 19:19

early twenties, pre kids!

Squirrelsnut · 22/05/2026 19:23

About 40? But I like the way I look now at 55, even though I'm overweight. My skin is really good still.

livelovelough24 · 22/05/2026 19:24

Definitely mid 30s, looked good and felt fabulous. 40s were not bad either. I am in my mid 50s now and... oh boy, its a whole different world.

VineandIvy · 22/05/2026 19:25

Currently 36 and 5 months postparting and EBF after a HG pregnancy. I’ve lost around 4 stone in the past year and honestly looks so much better for it. If I could just get some sleep and get the crows feet and forehead botoxed, I’d feel fit as!

Runningswanker · 22/05/2026 21:58

Early to mid thirties, I'd found my style, could afford a decent haircut and my skin looked much better than it does now.
In my twenties I never seemed to look 'grown up' I was underweight and looked (and acted) like an awkward teenager still!

Fidgety31 · 22/05/2026 22:02

Early 40s were my best years but I didn’t know it at the time - don’t think you ever do .

Aged overnight at 50 and have become invisible, old and fat .

MrsArcher23 · 22/05/2026 22:05

Late 30s/early 40s but I didn’t appreciate it- only with hindsight when I see photos. Mid 50s now and I can feel the slippage.

herbalteabag · 22/05/2026 22:08

Probably late 20s up to about 35.

Esperanza25 · 22/05/2026 22:17

Early to mid 40s for me actually.
I still don’t dislike how I look 20 years later, but obviously I don’t look my absolute best!
I feel a lot of it comes from confidence and unfortunately I had zero in my late teens and twenties when lookimg back now, I really was pretty. Oh well …grateful to still be here and in good health.

Victoriawould24 · 22/05/2026 22:45

40 but I was in an abusive relationship and very fucked up. A decade later I probably look my worst in terms of weight and effort but I’m also incredibly content, very loved and at peace with myself.

MemorableLlama · 22/05/2026 22:49

Between 17 and 22. I remember thinking I could go into any pub or club and be one of the most attractive girls there. It was so short lived! 😫
By 30, I was married and had put on 2 stone. And became invisible. 😔
I’m 56 now and have embraced being an old lady. I love it!

LarksAscending · 22/05/2026 23:09

I’m 31 and think I currently look the best I ever have

Sassysia · 22/05/2026 23:36

29 - 33 for me - looked great. After my kids too! Now at 40 I’ve lost it! Sad times 😭
