To have reported this Vinted listing

Slightly tongue in cheek

I found a beautiful nobody’s child dress on Vinted. £17 and listed as brand new with tags, but in the description it was stated that they had taken the tags off, worn it once, changed her mind and put the tags back on.

I made an offer of £12, because I felt that was reasonable given that the dress had been worn and tags reattached. She sent me back a message basically calling me cheap and saying the dress had cost her £70 new so why should she sell it for such a low price?

To be honest I was going to leave it until she started sending rude messages, so I reported it to Vinted. It looks like the listing and account have now been taken down. I feel a bit petty, but AIBU to have done this?

I wouldn’t have sold it to you either for £12.00. It’s you who was trying to take the Michael, not her.

I do love Vinted but feel its target market for selling/buying is for the younger crowd. Iv seen MANY a post stating “like new” “without tags” only to either see marks of being worn/wear or brought and can smell perfume on it! Somethings Iv returned and even said why have you listed it like that! Just be honest… it’s cheap and cheerful but be honest with your listings. Most people except it so sellers continue to get away with it. YANBU. The best one was “not worn” to then reply with “my friend had borrowed it though” eye roll shoulder shrug sigh….

Offering £12 for an already cheaply priced dress is very rude - I wouldn’t want you as a buyer!

People do that to me all the time and I just decline or ignore. It’s what Vinted is all about.
