SDP haven't existed in quite some time, so that's not surprising! 😄

It does still exist!

I voted Con to keep out the lunatic Greens.
My ideal vote would be SDP but they aren’t in my area.
I doubt I’ll ever vote Labour again.

I voted conservative, only because O wanted to show that not everyone where I live has been sucked in by the Greens, Plaid and Reform. I normally vote labour but Welsh Labour are an absolute shambles. It is was either Tories, who don’t stand a chance or spoil my vote. I can’t not vote.

Everyone saying no, who would you vote for instead - Reform?!

I would never vote for a party that fuels hatred

I have voted Green in the past

but that was before it was a party led by a leader that is happy to play into peoples prejudices to gain votes

Which is exactly what Farage does

Polanski and Farage are one and the same

As Caroline Lucas said, there are, sadly, anti-semites in every party. But it seems only left wing parties get the heat for it.

Why do you think that is?

Lins77 · 07/05/2026 18:16

TeenagersAngst · 07/05/2026 18:14

Blimey. I thought they disbanded in the 80s, replaced by Lib Dems.

Certainly haven't heard much about them in recent times.

PerryMenopaws · 07/05/2026 18:17

Free money and jew hatred.
Neither any good.

Kemi Is definitely against women’s rights. She doesn’t agree with statutory maternity pay.

Edited

Women are not a monolith and they have a range of views, but I could have a conversation with Badenoch about the ins and outs of statutory maternity pay and the impact of its withdrawal on women.

Polanski wants women to be completely removed from equality legislation and policy and human rights analysis.

TeenagersAngst · 07/05/2026 18:15

Why do you think that is?

I don't know, tbh. Because the media is largely very right wing and doesn't want to turn its attention to the anti-semitism in right wing parties?

Humdingerydoo · 07/05/2026 18:18

JollyDenimSeal · 07/05/2026 17:51

I support Palestine. This does not make me anti semitic on any level - neither am I a racist.

I'm a Zionist Jew and also support the formation of a Palestinian state. Not sure what the relevance is to any of this?

nomoreforks · 07/05/2026 18:19

The Greens are insane - you are very unreasonable ! Reform are hateful. Labour and Conservatives have managed to damage the country so badly that I don't know whether it will recover. We need PR and a mix of parties. I just want a centre party of people who genuinely care about the country and not their own political party.

On MN many people seem to think if you support Palestine you are an antisemite. And Greens support Palestine

ConcernedForWales · 07/05/2026 18:08

I voted Plaid Cymru. Where does that place me on your intelligence scale?

If you agree with them that men can become women, then fairly low I'm afraid

glitterpaperchain · 07/05/2026 18:21

For people saying the Greens are 'insane' and 'loonies' can I ask what basis there is for that in their policies?

As Caroline Lucas said, there are, sadly, anti-semites in every party. But it seems only left wing parties get the heat for it.

Because in the UK left wing parties are particularly vulnerable to entryism from organised groups who are explicitly anti-semitic.

The increase in antisemitism in the Green Party is not just random bad luck.

I know it has been normalised, but the whole 'a woman is just an idea in a man's head' thing is rather insane.

I doubt be approves of Elon but I imagine he wants to reach people, and many people are on X.

All party donations are available publicly online. Greens have a policy not to accept corporate donations whereas for example, other parties accept large donations from private healthcare companies, which makes me think the party will then be looking out for them, giving them contracts etc. I belive Green's largest donor to date is Vivienne Westwood.

All right thanks. Of course, they can accept a five million pound personal donation if they are Farage and apparently he is within his rights to not have declared it.

Wheresrebeccabunch · 07/05/2026 17:27

What’s wrong with wanting to be a good person out of interest?

There's nothing wrong with that.

But ie racist people trying to convince themselves that they can't possibly be racist because they vote Green .. that's not cool

I don't, actually. It is impossible to agree with any party 100%.

But on the other hand, I don't have any issues with the existence of trans people. They have been around for a long time.

Right. Yes, that's clearly why.

Interesting that's in quotes, is that in their policies?

So you wouldn't vote for any trans-accepting (not sure of terminology) party regardless of policy, as that makes them insane? Genuine question, sounds sarcastic

Correct!

Cross-dressing men have been around for a while.

Voting for a party that pretends that they're women has never been a good idea though.

Because the antisemites on the left have people who claim to be anti-racist defending them. It therefore obviously becomes more newsworthy.
