YANBU!

pixie1345 · 06/05/2026 12:37

Its all the dermal filler and.botox on offer these days!

youalright · 06/05/2026 12:38

Yeah the older you get the younger others look this is why I throw up in my mouth a little when women on here talk about fancying people 20+ years younger then thems

Catza · 06/05/2026 13:10

Not really. I look at pictures of my mum and aunt in their 30s and they look very child-like. I am 42 and I look younger than my age so maybe it's genetics. The fact that I still have dress sense of a teenager and have been wearing size 6 since puberty probably doesn't help either.

nam3c4ang3 · 06/05/2026 13:11

ive seen some 30 year olds who has done so much filler/botox they look 45. Nightmare!

Blarn · 06/05/2026 13:11

30 isn't old though. What do you expect 30 year old to look like?

dizzydizzydizzy · 06/05/2026 13:12

Caught up with my friend’s 32yo DD last week. I actually thought the opposite. She does an outdoor sport in the sunshine - I was wondering if it was due to that.

KevinsSignatureShortdeads · 06/05/2026 13:14

I often think this about 40 year olds; so many glamorous people about who all look much younger.

cardibach · 06/05/2026 13:15

30 year olds are young, hence they look it. I looked young at 30 too.

Filler and Botox on 30 year olds tend to make them look older not younger

FeliciaFancybottom · 06/05/2026 14:56

30 is young; therefore 30 year olds look young. If you look old at 30 you're doing something wrong.

eyeballer · 06/05/2026 14:59

I was just saying to my colleague that some early 20 somethings look so much older than I expect. So opposite view.

Botox doesn’t really make you younger it just removes lines. Some 15 yr olds have forehead lines, they still look 15!

SpaDaysForAll · 06/05/2026 15:31

Depends how old you are 🤣🤣🤣🤣

LavenderSweetPea · 06/05/2026 15:39

Maybe 30yos look younger now because they're less likely to have kids than 30yos did in the 90s 😂I'm 35 but I've definitely aged 15 years in the two years I've been a mum

Summerhillsquare · 06/05/2026 15:41

Never done a real day's work, as my granny would have said!

Also, sunscreen. That song was right about everything to be honest.

PawMaw · 06/05/2026 15:45

When I was 20, 30 year olds looked ancient. Now I'm 37 and 30 year olds all look like teenagers. Its all relative 😀

AccordingToWhom · 06/05/2026 15:45

I think they look the same as they've always looked. 30 is still pretty young anyway

This was me until the last couple of years (near 40). Now wear size 8 instead of 6, have a wrinkly neck and frown lines 😔 I’m also trying to dress more maturely, with mixed results.

In general I think most women don’t change much between early 20s to mid 30s. Men tend to change much more in this age range - hair loss and weight gain. Then women catch up in our 40s.

This too. Styling decisions of the past made young people look middle-aged. But take away the hair and makeup and - unless they work outdoors, chain smoke, do hard drugs and so on - most women still look the same at 30 in 2026 as in the 1980s: young!

cardibach · 06/05/2026 15:53

Why are you trying to dress ‘more maturely @DavesGirl90 ?
Where what makes you happy (as long as it’s decent)

Edit: 61. Going out in green and gold harem pants, a t shirt (not today, but it could easily be a band t) and Birkies. Make of that what you will.

Good question. I suppose I am self-conscious about people thinking I’m delusional about my age! Silly I know.

Adult clothes have a size label, not an age one!

anniegun · 06/05/2026 15:56

I think less drinking and smoking helps. That helped age previous generations prematurely

This. In my experience botox and fillers make people look older, not younger

Derramar · 06/05/2026 16:01

Yes, I agree they look so very young, like teenagers, as if they should be wearing school uniforms and carrying a satchel! Or, I guess nowadays that would be a backpack instead of a satchel!
