Who else finds bank Holiday Mondays annoying!!

Ive completely wasted the day...

Well I visited my dmum in hospital and didn’t have to drive across the city after work, so I’m grateful for the bank holiday and extremely appreciative of the 4 day week this week.

Paid day off work. A wander about a village yard sale with DS and his GF. I've had a lovely day.

I also don’t work Mondays and missing my child free day ( especially as I have the dentist and a school meeting on my other non-working day this week), but have managed to have a fairly productive day.

We had a kickabout in the park with my daughter and our grandson, and my son and his girlfriend, then got an ice cream from the van. I can’t think of a better way to spend a Monday. We chatted, laughed, caught up with each others lives, wore a 3 year old out, and got some exercise ourselves. What a glorious day. especially after spending the previous 2 days with a manipulative and angry elderly relative

What is it that annoyed you other than not having made the most of it?

That’s allowed sometimes. You’ll catch up, it wasn’t productive but so what.
I cleaned out two cupboards. I’m still in my pyjamas. It’s a bit weird.

I made focaccia (and mojitos) and planted a shitload of herbs. I had a great day!

I've had an amazing day. Whole weekend camping at a comedy festival in Wales with loads of friends and all our kids. Brilliant. Much better than working!

I always used to have to work on B/H but now don’t so definitely make the most of the day.

It’s been bloody marvellous, meant I could spend the weekend doing nice things and still get my chores done and do more nice things today. Reminded me how I’d like to reduce my work hours!

Posters like you weird me out what’s not to like about a day off work to either do something or nothing at all and rest. It’s not that deep I’d much rather be home than at work

I don’t really buy into the concept of ‘wasting a day’, you don’t always have to be productive or do something earth shatteringly exciting for it to be a good day. Doing nothing or not very much to write home about is a perfectly valid use of a day!

It’s the perfect excuse to have a day doing nothing without feeling you’ve wasted the weekend

I've had a lovely day! DH worked so I took the dog out for a walk and just enjoyed a nice, chilled day doing some pottering and relaxing before work tomorrow.

Popped to town, saw my mum, went to the garden centre, did some planting up in the garden, sorted through my clothes. I spent most of yesterday doom scrolling and felt shit for it so was determined not to do the same today.

Yes normally I’m off and I got to the gym , do jobs in the house. Instead we went to a children’s activity and had in-laws to tea! On plus side I’ve had some wine.
