I am actually horrified. A third, Muslim, man was stabbed in the attack but he isn’t being mentioned anywhere. How is this allowed?!

Metropolitan Police (@metpoliceuk) on X

A man will appear in court today charged following a Counter Terrorism Policing investigation into two men stabbed in #GoldersGreen: https://t.co/BgK04EQmyX

Not all police officers are armed with tasers
i assume you are aware of this

There is a strict training procedure
I know it
Doesn’t everyone

No I wouldn’t run towards someone with a knife, I’m not sure why that’s relevant to anything except I suppose
yes
having the police is great
but not a police that beats people up when they are already incapacitated.
This country doesn’t need that sort.

So...the police are the enemy. They don't protect us. They're an unruly mob.

Would someone please think of the poor knife wielding terrorist.

Gotcha.

NewspaperTaxis · 02/05/2026 18:36

It almost - almost - is comparable to the Epsom gang rape of a fortnight ago, where there is civili unrest in response, condemnation of the police (Surrey, not the Met) and demos in Epsom High St - then it turned out the 'gang rape' never happened.

Okay, this DID happen. I'm not saying otherwise. But the furore and narrative surrounding it, I'm not so sure it can get conflated with everything else going on. Maybe it can. But the reaction has to come before the facts, these days.

Hoardasurass · 02/05/2026 18:28

But you are making things up.
There was no police brutality.

I am not making things up
Watch the footage
You can see what happened

Denial gets us nowhere except backwards

Except he wasn't incapacitated he was still armed and dangerous

@samthepigeon can you let me know your thoughts?

There is a significant difference between this incident and the Epsom case.
This was caught on camera.

It’s nothing like Epsom - mainly because what apparently happened there never did.

You also seem to be saying the ‘furore and narrative’ makes this and Epsom similar. How? I don’t think there’s any ‘narrative’ in this event. And any ‘furore’ - people being angry and upset about this event - is entirely reasonable and justified, as two Jewish men were stabbed, so the Jewish community - and others too - are angry and upset by this.

Also, it actually happened.

PatriciaRocks · 02/05/2026 18:42

So @NewspaperTaxis - do you think there should be no "furore" about this terrible crime, which has rightly contributed to fear in the Jewish community?

TwitterRatti · 02/05/2026 18:43

samthepigeon · 02/05/2026 18:20

Yes, you are right. But reporting and experiencing are not the same thing. Black people experience hate day in, day out. A comment, a vile word - do you think every single one is reported? And why might they not be? There is a huge distrust of the authorities by certain sectors of the community. And there are language barriers too. But that is fine - you do you, and I will do me.

I've asked before for a link to evidence this? Still waiting... Otherwise, it's a meaningless, subjective statement that's peculiarly biased.

PatriciaRocks · 02/05/2026 18:43

Tikitaka20 · 02/05/2026 18:41

Yes, absolutely. Unequivocally.
Although I suspect some people would claim that it didn't.

I have seen the footage and the police used known tactics. Tactics that are taught and used by the military and police globally.
So again please stop lieing about police brutality that didn't occur

Almost for a 70 year old man stabbed waiting at a bus stop and others in a terrorist attack and now a severe threat level. Depressing stuff.

I guess you got what you wanted. Support for the perpetrator. A minimising of his crime. Criticism of the police. And commenters who are struggling to mask their obvious antisemitism.

Bravo. 👏

TheGander · 02/05/2026 18:51

Back to the police- the guy was wearing a rucksack and they didn’t know if it contained a bomb. They had to neutralise him as quick as possible. In that light, their use of force was reasonable. In many other European countries ( let alone I would imagine his country of origin) he’d have been shot.

BrownTroutBluesAgain · 02/05/2026 18:53

Quackcow · 02/05/2026 18:02

They didn't know that he did not have a bomb wrapped around his body. The head is the main part of the body that can be attacked without fear of detonating a bomb. You are just making stuff up

If you actually watch the footage with the volume on you can clearly see what was going on.

They wanted the knife

Procedure for bombs is
immobilise if possible
isolate
provide a wide cordon
call the bomb squad

Not jump on top, kick the mans head in and shout give us the knife

Common sense and Clear as day

ThreeDeafMice · 02/05/2026 18:56

Tikitaka20 · 02/05/2026 18:46

I’m sorry?

I predict that in a month we will be "told" that the videos were faked, the knife was a prop, the two sorry - three - people stabbed were actors.

Inconsistencies will be hilighted. The shadows of the lamp posts are pointing in the wrong direction for the time of day. The ads on the side of the buses and bus stops contain coded messages. The stars should be more visible - or less visible - or the constellations are wrong.

The "victims" were Mossad agents. Also not really Jewish at all. They had brainwave transmitters embedded in their kippahs tuned to the attacker's brain frequencies.

The Hazola ambulance was actually a space vehicle (another Mossad technology) and intelligence command centre.

Also the Chief Rabbi is a lizard creature, and Keir Starmer is an android.

maudelovesharold · 02/05/2026 18:45

Conspiracy theories about avoidance 🤣🤣🤣

Its not like anyone has to answer anyone on here anyway.

loislovesstewie · 02/05/2026 18:57

So now the police are supposed to immobilise a man with a knife (how?), then erect a cordon around him, then call the bomb squad. And presumably hope that in the meantime the man doesn't become mobile enough to detonate the bomb?
I've heard it all now.

lornad00m · 02/05/2026 18:57

MurkyMo · 02/05/2026 16:58

It was a teeny weeny little knife. Unnecessary overkill by the police. Even if it was a samurai sword they weren't justified in kicking a tasered man in the head

This comment is absolutely disgusting. I'm shocked it's still up tbh. I would have thought it would have been reported and deleted by MN. Very disappointing.
