No Trevor Phillip is right to be angry at ZP's hypocrisy and slimy gaslighting. What ZP said was clear micro aggression, it's how an abuser in an abusive relationship behaves but with a racist element. DARVO.

I reckon the polls were positive about Polanski's anti semitic behaviour and now he is doubling down as elections next week. Anyone who celebrates such disgusting, dishonest and creepily manipulative and violent politics is responsible for what comes next in this country.

It's genuinely horrifying and repulsive. I'm glad he's getting called out.

Who was trying to erase Polanski’s Jewish identity?
Trevor Phillips was talking about the pro-Palestine marches and how many Jews in London perceived them as hate marches. Polanski said he didn’t feel intimidated by these marches, to which Phillips replied: 'But you’re not all Jews', which is obviously true 🤷‍♀️

I agree with this. I think many of us are getting fed up of the media conflating speaking out about the Israeli government and their genocidal agenda with antisemitism, or being pro Islamic extremism.

I live in North London with a big Jewish community and my Jewish friends share the same views, several are more ‘left’ than me politically. There are a lot of Muslims in my community and friendship group too. The ordinary Jews and Muslims I know are friends and are fed up of being pitted against each other to serve this right wing political agenda.

Well you shouldn’t be and your first post totally misrepresented what was said. It’s clear Zach has been brought it to state “oh I can’t side with the anti semites because I’m Jewish” the thing is that for the more educated this simply doesn’t work. History is littered with Jews who sided with Anti Semites

A couple of my friends send their kids to Jewish schools and the dads take turns to guard the schools. It’s awful that they have to do this. Anti semitism is repugnant, all racism, religious discrimination and prejudice is, and unfortunately there are elements of it in pretty much every political party, that need to be rooted out. Just recently the tories had to sack someone for this.

So they sacked them rather than tell them to delete their internet history, or wait until they were arrested to suspend them, or suspend them on one hand and then have the deputy leader tell them to take a class action against the party? The man was lying on the floor, surrounded, having just been tasered. He did not need to be kicked in the head to keep the public safe, British police should only take action that can kill as a last resort.

He was still armed and wouldn’t give up the weapon. How exactly do you expect them to get the weapon from him? Until the weapon is away from him and he is fully secured he is still very much a threat.

By 'media' do you mean social media? People get hate online for all kinds of reasons, not just for opposing the war in Gaza.
I’ve seen plenty of hate towards Jews just for being Jews.
