A bowl full of mini pastries

Not so much AIBU because I’m doing it anyway. But it’s a public holiday here in South Africa. My husband has gone for the day doing his sport. The weather has turned grey. I’m sitting on the couch eating a freshly airfryed bowl of mini pastries. Cheese puffs are my favourite, I’m going to leave them until last. Sausage rolls my least favourite. I’m going to eat them first.

Ah ha, so you remembered the pick n mix, music singles and random garden equipment! I have heard your one is really good. I might be hallucinating but I thought they had them in Australia also?

They do have a Woolworths in Oz. Can’t be sure of all the links between them. May be worth a google to check. I’ll revert.

I’d be the size of a horse if I ate that lot.

Go eat your single lettuce leaf 🥱

So basically Woolworths in UK, SA and Oz have never had any shared ownership or formal link except all 3 have derived their name from the same American company of the same name.

Woolworths in SA and M&S do not have any legal links in terms of ownership but did have a shared technical and sourcing partnership which isn’t so prevalent in recent years but the similarities are still there.

Ahh, I do miss Woolworths. M&S is ok, but the fresh fruit and veg from Woolworths was far better. And the clothes.

Wave to the hadedas for me!

You wouldn’t though would you.

I’m guessing you’re the size of a horse because you regularly overeat and don’t burn it off.

1 meal is not going to make you the size of a horse (or house).

OP the only thing you’re being unreasonable about is that this is a savory plate and I assumed you were talking about sweet pastries which are much nicer!

I should think so - noisy little buggers! Dh is visiting his dad at the moment in Durban and ho got woken up this morning by the hadedas.

Woolworths - did you win the lottery or something??!

Lots of supermarkets do mini pies around Christmas time.

Ah ha! I must check them out. X

2 mini sausage rolls and one mini chicken pie already gone

I'm dribbling ever so slightly and quite envious that I don't have any!

I was being light-hearted about Woolie's notorious pricing - my family still live in SA.
