AIBU to rethink things over DH's stag weekend Reform shirt?

DH is on his stag weekend and I’ve just been sent a photo of his night one outfit for their city centre bar crawl.

He’s in a full football kit with a blue Reform shirt complete with ‘Farage 10’ on the back.

AIBU to consider LTB?!

OP doesn’t care he supports Reform. She thinks it’s funny, and that’s why she has posted this to share the originality and hilarity of this escapade.

Givemethereins · 25/04/2026 08:46

UniquePinkSwan · 25/04/2026 08:11

Ffs really? I’m not a reform voter but Labour voters are truly something else. My way or the highway…

That's funny..I don't remember the conservatives being a really open, laissez-faire style, we're open to all types, political party either. Unless you mean their sudden love of Reform and allegiance switching to Farage.

Notmyreality · 25/04/2026 08:48

I would LTB because hes on his “1st night of a stag do wandering around in a football shirt”. That would be enough for me. Could you get a more stereotypical characature of an English lout? I’m embarrassed on your behalf OP.

He is voting Reform, he has been very vocal about that!

So you knew he was a cunt when you agreed to marry him, but now he's started dressing like a cunt in public you want to LTB?

Stnam · 25/04/2026 09:00

Wavery2 · 24/04/2026 23:12

Presumably the stag t-shirt isn't really a surprise then.

Then why are you surprised about the shirt? Much, much worse things have happened on stage events but as it bothers you so much, then yes, call the wedding off, you’re obviously not suited.

Backpain2026 · 25/04/2026 09:02

Well if you know he's a reform voter what's the issue

MissyMooPoo2 · 25/04/2026 09:04

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · 25/04/2026 08:03

No, some of them are just stupid and easily manipulated.

its incredibly immature to label any group of people whose views don’t align with your own “stupid and easily manipulated”.

OriginalSkang · 25/04/2026 09:05

Why does the top upset you if you already know he's voting reform?

Then your issue isn’t the stag do photo, is it, really?!

So the shirt is just advertising that. Unless he's a really good egg get rid.

The fact is, a lot of Reform supporters don't have the intelligence or critical thinking skills to truly understand what they are voting for. There is nothing immature about acknowledging that. I'm not saying it simply because they disagree with me, I'm saying it because it's what I have observed to be true.

And tbh, calling them stupid and easily manipulated is giving them the benefit of the doubt. The alternative is that they actually understand the repugnant and extremist views that they are voting for, and that would make them truly abhorrent human beings. I still have some faith left in humanity.

ChaToilLeam · 25/04/2026 09:21

If you're okay with him being a Reform supporter then crack on. In that case why be surprised about the T shirt?

If you're not then the T shirt is the least of your worries. I would not wish to marry a man who supports Farage.

OnceUponATimed · 25/04/2026 09:24

Oh, my god, imagine actively choosing to marry a Reform voter. So deeply unattractive.

BudgetBuster · 25/04/2026 09:25

nomas · 25/04/2026 07:57

Because she’s happy marrying a Farage supporter but doesn’t want her friends and colleagues to know he supports Farage so she can pretend they are a normal couple.

Edited

But she said he's very vocal about it so that doesn't make sense

But she isn't wrong. Many Reform voters don't understand that. It's not actually a political party but a compant. And the reason why the billionaires want to be power is nothing to do with improving country but all about making themselves richer.

And I do think if you don't understand that you are at best naive, and if you do understand that and I'll still voting for them, then you're not just naive but swerving into the stupid category.
Most people are voting reform because they are annoyed at the two main political parties. But not realising what they're voting for is actually worse for their lives.

Decision made. My poultry is being put firmly in formation. I’ve booked in a free half hour with a lawyer, I’ve drained the joint account and I’ve accessed the financials.

Mission LTB is on!

Even if this a joke, you just sound unhinged.

BIossomtoes · 25/04/2026 09:36

If he’s on his stage weekend he’s not “DH” - and he never would be if I were you.

Slurs and labels are unhelpful and inaccurate in trying to understand the diverse motivations that drive voting decisions. We need a broad spectrum of perspectives to maintain balance and in a democratic society, we should tolerate and appreciate differing points of view. Why is this so hard to achieve?

it is much more important to understand why many people don’t even bother to vote, rather than fixate on why people differ in their values.

Schoolchoicesucks · 25/04/2026 09:54

You're not married yet so why do you need a lawyer? Do you have shared property or children? If you really have drained the joint account, that is a dick move. You were willing to marry him as a reform supporter but wearing Farage 10 on his back is unnacceptable to you? What a bag of shite. Go and get some fresh air and sunshine.

KingHart · 25/04/2026 09:54

OP is fine with this. She thinks it’s funny and is essentially ‘showing off’ the hilarity here.

Heyhelga · 25/04/2026 10:00

It must be quite miserable to post on MN on a Friday night a make up story that never happened just to stir up a politics echo chamber. Is this how you spend your life? I mean, the weather is gorgeous this weekend. Go make some friends, go do a hobby, go to the beach or something.
