Animals are very responsive to music. I used to be a vet nurse and did a lot of studies in this area. Wildlife casualties in particular have better outcomes when classical music is played.
I always had music on for my patients, colleagues were always skeptical until they saw it with their own eyes.
We also use singing and dancing as a distraction when doing procedures. Honestly if people could see what goes on out back, nurses dancing around like loons singing so the patients don't notice they're having an iv placed 🤣
