WTF was he wearing?!

I passed a man earlier (maybe 45 to 50), who was wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the words "I'm not a gynecologist [sic], but I'll take a look anyway".

AIBU to think this is arrantly classless, misogynistic in reducing women to mere vulvas and that you'd have you'd have to be a prick to own such a monstrosity, never mind wear it out in public?!

Sex and gender are two different things, and 'gender' is exactly what I meant given this is someone indulging in toxic masculinity because society deems that's that's how real men perform their gender.... and I'm pretty sure that T-shirt would equally fuck off the trans men I know who can't be bothered with the macho banter bullshit.

Given the aggression from some transwomen I will stick to calling it the correct term.

Transmen are women so I’m sure they are offended by it.

Well you would be mistaken! My friend’s SIL would call her 2 daughters from a baby sexy 🤢 She meant it in an endearing way and would greet her “Hi sexy girl” or when she was dressed in cute clothing “Ooh sexy” It’s so grim. I was really shocked hearing it as she presented herself as middle class, a perfectionist etc. I don’t know if her husband would use this term (I can’t remember) but all I can say it’s 100% true as my friend does not lie. She thought it was weird and disturbing too.

Sadly I have seen/heard sexy used to describe young children. My kids were born in the early 2000s & it was quite common then. My sister was a manager in a childcare facility & had to say to one if her staff it was not a suitable description for children.

Good bloody Lord. Just when you thought you'd heard it all.

I'm really shocked at the vulgarity of these slogans. Some of them are just vile. I haven't seen anyone wearing something like that IRL, thank God.

UnctuousUnicorns · 16/04/2026 15:56

Jolly decent of him to warn women off him, I'd say. 👍

It's better than the t-shirt a saw a little girl of about 5 or 6 wearing a few weeks ago

Daddy's sexy kitten 🤢

i hope someone reported this family. They need an urgent education on boundaries. Poor wee mite 😞

ToadRage · 16/04/2026 16:03

My husband had a whole host of slogan tshirts when i met him. The more controversial, the better. I think most men will go through this phase and maybe some don't grow out of it. His choice of t-shirt is not your problem nor is it your right to judge him for it. He probably just thought it was funny and when I showed this to my husband he laughed too. A lot of women on here need to stop being self righteous and realise that the people you are looking at don't give a flying monkey what you think, they are probably a lot happier than you.

No, most mature men don’t go through a phase of wearing T-shirts with a silly slogan on it.
There would be a lot more single men if that was the case.

Personally I find it helpful when sex offenders men do stuff like this, makes it easy to identify them and avoid as needed.

Wow. Way to belittle actual survivors. Wearing a t-shirt you don’t approve of doesnt make someone a sex offender

Sorry for my poor language but I would have been tempted to say "I'm not a gynaecologist either but I know a c**t when I see one". Hate that word but feel it may be warranted under the circumstances.

I hate the word too, but I still laughed.😆

You can use the word cunt in full on here.

And you don’t have to apologise for ‘poor language’
