This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

It’s in Morrisons, and they’ve started stocking it in Asda, Waitrose and Ocado. It’s catching on! ENJOY!!! I love the one with chives. I also love the plain one on ryvita with a sprinkling of zaatar.

Hilariously I was once eating it whilst speaking to a friend on the phone who left the UK 10 years ago, and she told me every morning at 11am she would have a pot of the one with pineapple 🤣. I haven’t tried this one.

Many thanks ~ I can't wait to try it! I'll be near a Waitrose tomorrow so hope I'll be able to find it there

I love chives and would enjoy it either with a jacket potato or as part of a MN massive salad!!!!!

Theonebutnotonly · 30/03/2026 16:09

You’re eating far too much cheese and a lot of nuts. Those on their own come to more than the normal recommended daily calorie intake for women. I don’t think it’s healthy to eat that much cheese.

Not enough regular veg and where is the fruit?

You'd be far better off eating three normal balanced meals and cutting out the snacks.

Haven't read every page. Do we know height/weight of OP?

She is five foot 2 inches.
We don't know her weight

No weight but she says in her OP that she’s 5ft2.

I’ve just realised that the blocks of Cathedral City that I buy in my weekly shop are 350g, so OP, you are eating way more than 1 whole block of those a day!! How can you possibly think that’s healthy??

I’m thinking that OP much just be a very large mouse as opposed to a slightly short woman.

@ivyball That’s a very (extremely) high‑protein, high‑fat diet with very little fibre or variety. Most people would find it unbalanced, and it’s definitely something to run past a doctor or dietitian if it’s a long‑term plan. Says the fat girl in the corner😁.

This is essentially a very strict low‑carb / keto‑style diet, but without the usual balance of Leafy greens, non‑starchy vegetables, healthy fats (olive oil, avocado, seeds). Its not good.

There’s almost no whole grains, beans, lentils, fruit, or consistent vegetables. Low fibre diets can contribute to digestive issues and don’t support long‑term gut health.

It’s more like a meat‑and‑cheese heavy version of keto. Some people choose low‑carb diets, but this version is unusually narrow.|

Common side effects of a diet like this include digestive issues, fatigue, nutrient gaps, and increased strain on the kidneys and cardiovascular system (so it could contribute to your low blood pressure). You might lose weight on a diet like this because it’s very low‑carb and very filling, but it’s not balanced and it’s missing a lot of nutrients. It’s definitely something to check with a doctor or dietitian if you’re planning to do it long‑term, but I suspect you know that.

Edited

It’s not especially high protein but it’s very high fat

Moltencheese · 30/03/2026 16:16

Gallstones and nightmares incoming I would say

SnugglyJumpersMakeItBetter · 30/03/2026 16:17

Don't believe everything you read online guys! 😂

Bikergran · 30/03/2026 16:18

The cheese intake seems OTT, and your fat and protein intake seems very high, I would feed 2-3 people on that amount of protein. I would worry about your cholesterol levels. The main thing is are you healthy and a proportional weight/build? If you are, fair enough. If you're overweight, then you need to cut down. And please have your cholesterol checked.

ivyball · 30/03/2026 15:48

That’s interesting, I used to have what felt like an imaginary sweat when I ate cheese and get a rash on my forehead but when I touched my face there was no real sweat there just a mild tingling sensation and if I touched the rash it would go flaky.
I also have a lot of hair loss which I put down to nutrition deficiency but maybe that’s why I need cheese. I don’t get this now I eat so much of it.

Edited

A quick analysis suggests you're short on folate, magnesium, potassium, and probably vitamin C (depending on vegetable quantities and cooking methods). And the massive quantities of protein (3 times recommended amount) and fat (4 times recommended amount) may well be causing problems with absorbing and metabolising other nutrients as well.

Please talk to a professional about this.

WonderingWanda · 30/03/2026 16:19

It's a lot of cheese which is not good from a saturated fat or sodium perspective. Also lacking in fibre and vitamins.

DeanElderberry · 30/03/2026 16:22

It's probably short of B vitamins too.

A few years ago the spoilsports dieticians were recommending a piece of cheese the size (at a maximum) of a postage stamp as a daily snack.

AzureStaffy · 30/03/2026 16:23

As others have said, far too much cheese and nuts. More green veg needed. But you aren't eating a lot of carbohydrate which is good. How you eat food is important - veg and protein first, then carbohydrates to help reduce glucose levels. Then always walk, or march on the spot, immediately after eating for at least 20 mins, again to keep glucose low. Hope you drink plenty of water with all this food. You must feel very full after eating. Apologies if this has already been written but I haven't read all the posts.

So I'm doing better than OP but not well, based on this...

rainbowsandraspberrygin · 30/03/2026 16:24

Love that you lot are actually looking up the cheese! 🤪

BakedAl · 30/03/2026 16:27

My family of four eat as much cheese is a week as you do in a day. I can't get over that. Maybe eat more beans and pulses.

Maybe hers is, it’s just also 6 foot long 😂

MatriarchCaz · 30/03/2026 16:29

Methylphenidate is for ADHD - do you have this OP? If so that can cause addictive behaviours x

Cherrytree86 · 30/03/2026 16:30

youre not eating enough, OP. You need more food per day @ivyball

kljdhs877 · 30/03/2026 16:31

That seems a huge amount of food to me (do you really eat 4 eggs in one sitting?!) but I’m assuming you’re about to tell us you’re a size 6 lol.

NotAWurstToIt · 30/03/2026 16:32

OP you mention hair loss/thinning and there’s a strong chance this is diet related. You need more Vitsmin B, C and zinc. A lot of this would be helped by upping your fruit and vegetable intake instead of the nuts and cheese.

ivyball · 30/03/2026 12:25

Sorry if this seems like a weird post but I’m trying to make sense of a few things I probably have been in denial about which is why I wanted opinions for clarity, people have said things to me before and I’ve always just thought I had a great diet.

How much would you expect someone at 42 and had this diet for years to weigh?
Would you think it would cause weight gain or weight loss or not make any difference?

I'd assume several stone overweight, probably around 18 stone ish? Maybe more

Probably double you're daily recommend calories for your height but also not enough food and have you considered using an online macro calculator and having a look at what ratios of fats, protein etc... you should be eating?

MrTiddlesTheCat · 30/03/2026 16:42

ImImmortalNowBabyDoll · 30/03/2026 16:06

No, she won't say. I can't see how she could possibly be anything other than morbidly obese, which is probably why she won't say.

I suspect she's in complete denial about the cause of her obesity. Her family are telling her that it's her diet but she's completely deluded herself that she's only having one meal a day and snacking on a bit of cheese and some nuts, so they can't possibly right. This thread was supposed to validate her delusion, but it hasn't, it's shone a light on it. Not saying her weight is her last defence against the delusion being shattered.

CaffeinatedMum · 30/03/2026 16:43

Are you definitely eating 450g of cheese, not 45? That is possibly the most insane thing I’ve ever read on here, and I eat a lot of cheese.
