This is what I’ve eaten over the last 7 days.
Does this seem like too much food to you or not a lot of food?
Female 5 foot 2.

Day 1

4 egg omelette with 2 pork chops and red pepper, sweet corn.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts spread out and picked on over the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 2

3 chicken thighs and 2 chicken legs with some veg.
Snacks - half a 900g pack of cheddar cheese and half a 200g pack of mixed nuts picked on throughout the day.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 3
4 egg omelette and pack of prawns, sweetcorn and spinach.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g bag of Mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 4
Half a roast chicken picked at.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheese and half a packet of 200g nuts to pick throughout the day.
5 cups of decaf coffee.

Day 5
4 fried eggs, mushrooms, an avocado, tomatoes and bacon.
Snacks - half a pack of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 6
500g diced beef fried with red pepper and mushrooms.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half a packet of 200g mixed nuts.
5 cups decaf coffee.

Day 7
1 Tin of tuna and salad.
Snacks - half a packet of 900g cheddar cheese and half packet of 200g mixed nuts.
1 bottle of white wine.

2 fillets of salmon with green beans, broccoli and red pepper.
Snacks - half a 900g packet of cheddar cheese and half a 200g packet of nuts.
5 cups of decaf coffee.
1 bottle of white wine.

I have used the term half a pack instead of (450g) cheese and 100g nuts because I thought people would be able to imagine a 900g block of cheese and 200g pack of nuts easier as that’s how they come.
Does this sound like too much food or not enough food please?
I typically eat one meal a day in the morning and pick on cheese and nuts sporadically for the rest of the day.
This is because I need to eat until I’m full or I will still feel hungry after so I eat a big main meal first thing as it works for me and I feel full.
The cheese and nuts are because of a craving for cheese. I love my cheese.

That’s over 3 kilos of cheese a week. Respect to you - that’s impressive.

I am veggie and so I do eat 3 eggs a day. Cheese though I limit to 30g !

I think you need more variety in your protein too eg seeds/ pulses/ plant based stuff eg Tofu/Quorn .

These are full of fibre too.

Where are your fruit and veg ?

Aldi?

I can only find 400g as a maximum on their website

400g…. That’s barely a snack size! 🤣

Mere crumbs!

shelbybears · 30/03/2026 14:12

I wouldn’t say your eating loads but there’s not 3 meals in there. Huge amount of calories though with the cheese and nuts.

I imagine it would cause and continue to cause weight gain. You must also be spending a fortune on cheese!

PossiblyPertunia · 30/03/2026 14:12

Are you cooking the eggs etc in any oil? If so, how much? Do you have milk with your coffee? Just your snacks are 2400 calories a day.
If we look at day 5: 4 fried eggs (300 cals), mushrooms (100 cals), an avocado (240 cals), tomatoes (45 cals) and bacon (120 cals). Now these are all guestimates and could easily be much more if being cooked in butter or oil. Also not including milk and/or sugar if you're having that with your coffee.
This is 3205 calories, when an average woman requires 2000.

I had a Google as I was beginning to be convinced she's got her weight measurements wrong, and that she must be eating half as much as she says, but they do indeed sell a cheddar cheese in 900g packs (according to a Google search).

fairylightsanon · 30/03/2026 14:08

I mean I’m 42 and being monitored for my heart as they suspect a heart block but it is quite a common one and you can have it at any age!

Right but you're probably not eating 450g of cheese and 500g of red meat in one sitting!!!

Clefable · 30/03/2026 14:14

Genuine question, do you really look at that diet and think it’s healthy OP? Do you think eating half a family block of cheese every day can be good for you? And two bottles of wine back to back at weekends?

MilliM · 30/03/2026 14:15

ivyball · 30/03/2026 13:59

Well I think I have an intolerance to some foods but I’ve never managed to find out what.
I tried cutting out gluten and then sugar and processed foods and then fruit, veg and eventually started an elimination diet and found those to be the only foods I could eat without any issues so they became my safe foods that I live on.

You eat this diet with no issues? How are your bowels? Don't you need laxatives to cope with that diet?

BitOutOfPractice · 30/03/2026 14:16

Do you really not eat a single piece of fruit all week?

OP are you overweight. You seem shy of saying…

ThatMrsM · 30/03/2026 14:18

Regardless of what everyone thinks, do you actually feel good on this diet?

Like other posters I'm struggling to imagine being able to eat that much cheese and meat, especially large meat-rich meals in one go. Complete lack of fruit and hardly any veg obviously isn't healthy. Do you only drink decaf coffee and wine or are other drinks not included in the list?

Have you ever been tested for food intolerance? Maybe that would be a good starting point and then you can start to reintroduce a wider variety of foods and get back to a normal diet.

GenieGenealogy · 30/03/2026 14:18

"safe foods" - but I don't have disordered eating, with my 6kg of cheese a week, no fruit, 500g of beef in one meal and no carbs. Oh no, not me.

ImImmortalNowBabyDoll · 30/03/2026 14:19

likelysuspect · 30/03/2026 14:08

I mean whether I believe all this or not, what always strikes me is the horror of posters, MN in particular about a 'bad diet'

I mean look at the Stones and other people, Billy Idol is another, they spent their entire lives high as a kites, drinking, smoking, drugging. A bit of excess cheese may be survivable.

Obesity is just as much of a killer as drug abuse. Just slower and less fun.

lol

It says 'this product is not currently available'

OP YOU HAVE EATEN ALL THE CHEESE IN ALL THE ALDIS

ivyball · 30/03/2026 14:19

likelysuspect · 30/03/2026 14:04

Perhaps OP will clarify but I assumes she means she is on medication that can increase blood pressure and so is monitored for that

Not necessarily that she has a heart condition per se.

Perhaps I misunderstood but she says her blood pressure is low.

Yes methylphenidate so jus monitored

1000StrawberryLollies · 30/03/2026 14:20

You thought people would say that is a great, healthy diet? And you didn't know diet affects blood pressure? I find this really hard to believe. You are eating shit-tons of fat, loads of salt and an unnecessarily large amount of meat, and your habit of eating one meal and then constantly grazing on large amounts of cheese and nuts is really weird tbh. It sounds like the diet of someone who is trying to bulk up.

Thats a gigantic amount of calories for a 5ft2 woman. If you arent the size of a shed then i envy your metabolosm.
Your cheese and nuts alone are double the calories that I eat.
Its double what you should be having as well in a day without even considering your "meals"

You have ADHD?

SooPanda · 30/03/2026 14:23

That is a lot of cheese, and very little fruit and veg. And it doesn’t seem like a well structured day of food, your body feasts in the morning then probably panics when the meals don’t continue, forcing you to constantly snack on high fat foods for satisfaction. Especially cheese which is quite “addictive”.
It looks like you’re chasing dopamine hits all day.

The nuts are not so much of a problem depending on the type - Brazil and walnuts are very good for lowering cholesterol. They are calorie dense (we do need calories to live!) and not a bad snack in moderation - much more filling and nutritious than other snacks like a bag of crisps or biscuit for instance. But would be better paired with some fruit.

Really the issue here is that it’s not a healthy way to structure your day, one huge meal and then constant grazing on cheese and nuts won’t be as satisfying as smaller meals and snacks spread out throughout the day. It looks like an unhealthy relationship with food that perhaps you could find some help for from a professional.
